Physical Description

Lost both his legs in an accident at the smithy he used to work for as a young dwarf. After centuries, he has adjusted. The wheelchair, made according to his own design, helps him to be mobile and independent.

Apparel & Accessories

Sits in a wheelchair, made out of bronze coloured metal. It does not need to be propelled by hand, but is powered by steam. Because of that it is quite massive, with the steam engine being located behind the back of the chair and and lots of gears, tubes and other devices being visible. When Faregrim moves with it, it makes loud hissing and whirring noises. Faregrim navigates by using levers in his armrest. He can also go up and down, due to a cranking system, located underneath his seat.

Mentality

Personal history

Comes from an old and traditional Dwarven Clan of Smiths, that has been living and working in Rhynmouths for hundreds of years. His Clan used to be one of the most respected manufacturers of machines and mechanical devices in the city until the arrival of the Gnomes and and the discovery of the uses of Ethirium. Now their products are deemed old fashioned and only less well off people or factories are their customers now.
 
Faregrim used to be a smith himself until an accident cost him his two legs and left him paralized, dependend on a wheelchair.
He tried to make the best out of it and started working on the administrative side of the business. He was good with people, so he quickly became the spokesman for his family's company, Steelfist's Steelwares He connected with customers and suppliers and with the competition as well. Soon he was the representative of his family on the board of the Guild of Smiths and Metalworkers.
 
Over the years, after the founding of the Silver Spire, the rise of the Tinkerer's Guild and the discovery of Ethirium, Faregrim became quite bitter, watching the decline of the Dwarf community and, what he considered, the much superiour art of blacksmithing.
 
He was one of the supporters of the creation of the Office for the Supervision of Magical Devices and Artefacts and he jumped at the chance to become its leader. He was hoping, he could show the population how dangerous a lot of these magical devices were and stem the flood of inferiour products. However, the craze for these tools did not abate, it became even bigger. He also noticed that aside from all the accidents and misuses, people seem to be getting sick, mentally or physically, when they were around Ethirium for too long. He became very frustrated, that nobody seem to care about his warnings, and that the current government under the Lady seem to be set to support the use of more and more Ethirium based technology.
