Ayara's Notes, Page #1
Well, the new masters are certainly interesting. A decent group for me to lay low with, who have all the restraint of a charging bull. Speaking of which, turns out getting hit by one of those hurts. I'd not previously had reason to confirm that, being a simple bonded servant. Why I hardly ever even needed to leave the city. Now I'm having to bodyguard three people who see a beast over ten times the size of all of them combined and decide that it clearly is something to fight. I'd hit the wine cellar, but unfortunately I am away from it. And I can't speak to precisely why the good lord has put me in the service of these ruffians, so I'm going to have to keep them all alive. Which is truly going to be a pain. Especially as they seem to be busy poking at literal ghosts. Do I look like an exorcist? Admittedly one of them does seem to have an understanding with the gods, so maybe that problem will sort itself out. Presuming of course that it's an actual ghost, which is probably the least damaging possibility. I can only take it as a sign of the lord's faith in my abilities that he seems to believe that I will be able to make something constructive of this.
This will be a long journey. So much cleaning and maintenance that needs to get done, left unattended, and I won't even be able to attend the operas for a bit. Truly, woe has fallen upon me.
