Personal history

Born and raised into a noble family, Olgierd lived a life of luxury. He fell in love with another noble, Iris, and they were due to be wed until the Von Everec's lost their fortune and Iris's father called off the engagement, promising her to a prince from the Sahlabaoan desert. Soon after, Olgierds parents perished in a fire. Losing his family, his fortune and his beloved, Olgierd turned to mercenary work to pay for his drinking habit. One night in a drunken stupor, he met a man who promised him help. Olgierd agreed to a pact, gaining immortality and wealth in exchange for his mortal soul, but the pact had consequences and he lost his ability to feel anything, emotionally or physically. According to the pact, the man his soul was owed to, Gaunter, could only end his life under extremely specific circumstances and could not do it himself.

Relishing in his new life, Olgierd returned to Iris and cursed her current betrothed to become an ogre. They ran away to Smurn together, Iris thrilled at first but Olgeirds lack of sympathy and understanding drove them apart. He turned to the arcane arts, hoping magic would bring her things he could not, but this just pushed her further away. One evening during a heated argument with Iris's father, Olgierd pushed him into a wall and accidentally ended his life as his head struck the sconce. Devastated, Iris locked herself away, and Olgierd realised he was bringing nothing but misery to her. Summoning a fiend and binding him to Iris, making sure she was kept happy until his return, Olgierd left to seek a cure to his immortality, but Iris eventually died and left Olgierd a hollow shadow of his former self.


After tasking the party with resolving things from his past, he ended up on the Glaciated Mountain with them, Gaunter and the Sindicate, where Gaunter ended his life and used his soul to kickstart the ritual to begin the apocalypse.
