Mentality

Personal history

Tokage grew up in name as an orphan. He spent his younger years causing mischief and exploring the forest around his village with his best friend Cecil. One day when exploring the forest as usual, the two kids encounter a wild beast that was rampaging nearby. When the two ran away, Cecil realised they couldn't go back to the village otherwise the beast would follow them back and hurt everyone else, despite Tokage suggesting to flee instead Cecil picked up a stick and stood his ground, so seeing no other choice Tokage did accepting that they'll probably die.

In that moment the beast was cleaved in half by a passing warrior wielding a nodachi. When the two asked who he was he revealed to them that he was a member of the Tsutsumi military force. He gave them his name before leaving, Hiryu. With that the two boys became enamoured with the idea of become soldiers for the sake of Tsutsumi and their village. They would spend the rest of their childhood and teenage years training and competing with each other in order to enlist for the military force when they would turn 18.

By the age of 21, the two young men would not only enlist into the military force, but they would sickly rise through the ranks becoming members of the 9th division of the military force, with Tokage being appointed as the captain.
