Quillium "Quill" Pendleton

A journalist during the Great War in the Pale, he's now told that life (and he lives of the people he knew and wrote about) is a lie. But in a dreamlike fantasy land, what seems the most real and what the fantasy?

Campaign & Party

The major events and journals in Quillium "Quill"'s history, from the beginning to today.

Quillium Pendleton, or just Quill, is not doing so well with the cultural shift from his old life to his new. As a journalist embedded with the British Expeditionary Force during the Great War, he was used to a life of constant travel, chaos, mud, and blood, as well as the companionship and stories of the soldiers around him. Life was hard, brutal, dirty and sometimes very short, but it was one he had become accustomed to. And then, he found himself in the multicoloured surrealist dreamscape, which is the Actuality, and the city of Satyrine. Besides getting used to the idea of civilian life, he keenly feels the disconnect between his gritty Shadow past and his current bright and colourful present and being responsible for a huge empty house that once used to ring with life. Satyrine has also just come out of a devastating war, and it's in the remnants of this conflict that Quill searches to find some....sense out of the nonsense around him. He grounds himself in the stories of the soldiers who fought for the Actuality, reflecting on his own experiences in theirs. But what of his family, parents and siblings? What of the staff who used to fill his empty home? Are they still in Shadow or have they moved onto the Pale or are they somewhere else entirely? So many questions and for once, Quill doesn't know where to start.
