A strange black cat.
A large housecat with dark, sleek, purplish-black fur, adorned with metallic jewelry. The Party first encountered it at a rural crossroads near Sauerton, where it led them towards the beaten and bloodied Jarn Proudmoore, bound, gagged, and hidden amongst the ditchweeds.
It was again seen while hot on the tail of street thieves in the city of Carpenden. After losing sight of the fleeing urchins in the crowds during the annual Moonmelon festival, the cat appeared and led the Party down a back alley before inexplicably disappearing. It was at this place that our adventurers witnessed the attempted kidnapping of the urchins - they intervened, defeated the abductors and freed their drugged captives.
Once again they crossed paths on the road north to Bellis. It led the Party down a country path to a small farmstead, where they found that the lone resident, an old farmer, had passed away peacefully on his front porch, morning coffee in hand. After respectfully laying him to rest, they inspected the property, and found it to be a "Barn", a hidden safe house for members of the Bellflower Network.
How is it possible to encounter the same strange cat so often, and at such distant locations?
