Borrin was not always evil. He was, in fact, a local lad, born and raised in Hearthwick. He had been brought up in the local faith tradition, venerating the goddess for her bounty and mercy just like all his friends and neighbors.

When he had turned thirteen he began apprenticing with the old village priest, Falcis. It was at this point the young Borrin's moral trajectory changed. Privy to the inner secrets of the faith, being exposed to the true face and nature of she whom he had so faithfully worshipped, had a profound impact on him.

After poor old Falcis' untimely demise (having broken his neck after falling from his horse), Borrin took up the mantle of the local priest. It was a career he pursued with some success... until Falco and Logan murdered him.
