An old sot who lurks in the Snapping Line tavern in Saltmarsh, Dredge seems constantly drunk and likes to sing (badly).

Dredge is an old man who frequents tavern in Saltmarsh. He can be found there at almost all hours of day and night, and does not appear to have a home to go to.
Despite having no reliable source of income or abode of his own, the old drunkard is thought of kindly by the other customers, and the landlady Hanna Rist seems to look kindly on the old sot. He is considered harmless and obviously damaged by some early trauma.
Dredge is skinny and pale with large, hollow and hungry eyes, a bald head surrounded by an unruly shock of white hair, and a short, unkempt beard.
He hunches in his seat, normally carefully nursing a bottle. His once deep blue robes are now faded and torn.
Dredge never sits still, his eyes constantly darting from side to side, but unable to focus. He is always belching, giggling and hiccuping.
The old man likes to sing old shanties in a slurred and out-of-tune barritone.
Dredge once drank five hardened guardsmen under the table!
