Personal history

Born the middle child to Jack and Elizabeth Childs. As a child, Danica was obsessed with stories about magic and loved to pretend to slay monsters with her little sister, Willa. Her family frequented the beach near their home every summer. Although she often bickered with her older brother, Jesse, and she always seemed to be in trouble, Danica was a generally happy kid with a big imagination and lots of energy. Her bouncing off the walls annoyed her parents to the point that Jack signed her up for youth track and field, hoping it would help her burn off all that energy and calm down. Danica fell in love with running but she felt dismayed when her dad was too busy with work to attend her meets. Jack died suddenly of a heart attack at his office when Danica was eleven. She pushed herself to run harder, faster to outrun her grief and yet to still feel close to her father. Danica's middle school years were miserable but in high school she found a group of friends who introduced her to Dungeons & Dragons. Her love of magic and adventure rekindled. After tearing her left ACL at the first cross-country meet of her sophomore year, she fell into a deep depression but found her way out of it through a new fantasy adventure game-- Forgotten Relics, which became her new obsession. And that was how she met the demon who called himself DiabolusX.
