Personal history

Kyoro (literally "ruby flower") was named for his striking and unusually patterned green eyes that seem to unfold like the petals of a chrysanthemum by a priest of Apollo, who found him swaddled amidst the carnage of a bandit attack. Surprisingly, although he seemed aware of what had transpired, the babe happily babbled to the priest as he walked up, like nothing in the world could possibly be wrong.
The priest, who went by the name of Talas, took the babe in and raised him as an apostle of Apollo; the god of the sun, healing, and music.
Following the teachings of Apollo with that same never-ending supply of cheer that he had shown since he was a baby, Kyoro learned the ways of a cleric, to have the strength of mind to heal and protect his allies as well as deal with foes with holy prayer, in addition to the strength of body to to don armor and fight alongside his comrades sword and shield in hand. However, he also learned of the gentler things, reciting the great poets and the art of playing the lyre, Apollo's instrument.
And so, Kyoro, upon reaching a time where he felt sufficiently prepared, set out to explore the world and spread the word and good deeds of Apollo, and to help all those in need with an infallible cheer, twinkle in his eye, and an easy smile playing at the corner of his mouth.
