A man of soot-stained hands and flame-worn eyes, Richard was born into obscurity—no nobility, no prophecy. Only steel, and the long path of mastery. He walked it humbly, never with ambition, but with reverence for the craft. His journey led him to the legendary Kitsune Smith, Shirou, whose anvil sang in harmony with the earth’s oldest magic. Richard listened. He learned. And though he never surpassed his teacher, he created something Shirou never dared:

He named her Seren in secret.

Sensing his end, whether by creeping illness or betrayal (some say both), Richard entrusted Seren’s soul-core to the wandering hero Alistair, charging him with a duty few would understand: to protect her, not wield her.
 
Not long after, Richard was found slain. His killer: Thaddeus, a former comrade whose motives remain shrouded in silence. The forges went cold that day. The anvil—once struck with purpose—never rang again.
