As a child, he was frequently seen alongside his mother during her public walks and was occasionally present with his father during ceremonial appearances.

Following the deaths of Queen Ninym and Queen Mother Melania during the Second Suian War, Alexander’s life changed dramatically. His father entered a prolonged state of personal seclusion, withdrawing from public life and the responsibilities of court. Alexander, still only a young boy at the time, came under the guardianship of Chancellor Nolan Putnam. Raised within the palace, he shouldered unexpected responsibilities at a young age, including helping to care for his younger sister, Aindranla.

Mid Life

As he entered adulthood, Alexander chose a path of service rather than politics. He enlisted in the Centurion Legion, a respected military institution of Alagor, not out of ambition but to ensure the realm's stability in uncertain times. Eventually attaining the rank of General, Alexander was known for his calm leadership style and willingness to serve away from the court spotlight. Though he remained distant from the throne, he was regarded as a stabilizing figure within the military and maintained popular support among soldiers and citizens alike.

Late Life

Alexander’s later years were overshadowed by his sister Aindranla's rise as the self-declared Emerald Queen during the Alagorian Civil War. Stripped of public influence, he was reportedly held in a form of political captivity within the palace, under restricted movement during her reign. Records of his activities during this time are limited, though scattered reports suggest that Aindranla may have entrusted him with a personal mission.

It is widely speculated that he was the hidden caregiver to Princess Salena Athomath, Aindranla's daughter, whose existence remained a closely guarded secret throughout the conflict.

Alexander was killed during the final hours of the Alagorian Civil War, during a confrontation within the Grand Hall of the palace. Though the details remain unclear, and only a handful of individuals were present, it is believed that his death was accidental—caused during a moment of conflict with Aindranla herself. The tragedy is often cited as a key emotional turning point that led to Aindranla's ultimate defeat and later imprisonment.

Alexander Athomath began his military career in -31 BFE, at the age of 17, enlisting into the Centurion Legion, Alagor’s elite and unified military command structure.

He was assigned to a stabilization unit tasked with internal border patrol and disaster relief coordination. Over the next several years, Alexander steadily rose through the ranks in managing civil disruptions without excessive force. His leadership in a supply reclamation campaign following the Thalvani Floods of -29 BFE was particularly well-received among local governors.

By -26 BFE, he had attained the rank of General within the Legion and oversaw training and logistics coordination for the Home Guard stationed in Athomathia. His position was largely administrative but regarded as integral to the stability of the capital.

Following the rise of Aindranla Athomath as the Emerald Queen in -24 BFE, both the Centurion Legion and Praetorian Order were officially disbanded. Alexander was removed from his command and placed under close monitoring within the palace. Official records cease here, though multiple accounts suggest he was given a confidential role by Aindranla, potentially linked to the concealment and care of the then-secret child, Salena Athomath.

Though not widely discussed in public records, scholars and historians have noted several likely sources of psychological strain throughout Alexander Athomath’s life. The first and most prominent is the death of his mother, Queen Ninym, during the Second Suian War. At only ten years old, Alexander witnessed the nation's collective mourning and the withdrawal of his father, King Octavius, into grief-driven seclusion.
