Physical Description

Lithe and strong on a small frame, wicked fit. She's quite muscular, but lean and wiry rather than bulky. Broad shoulders, small bust, lean waist

Body Features

Shimmering silver scales along her forearms, hands, lower legs and feet when she channels. They're unarmored and supple, not removing any flexibility or sensitivity.
Tiny scales mixed into the heavy spray of freckles on her cheeks, chest, shoulders, back, and arms, which add a layer of shimmer to her freckles.

Facial Features

Ethnically Toran
Hooded monolid eyes. Thick dark lashes. Well groomed and shaped eyebrows.
Her eyes are a shimmering silver-blue that shift and dance with very pale purple and blue flecks. They won't change while you're looking directly at them, but every time she blinks, the flecks will have shifted slightly. The silver always has a slight metallic sheen.
They change appearance when she experiences intense emotions.

• Anger/aggression/focus/fear: the flecks fade away leaving only pure, hard silver-blue.


• Sorrow/grief/exhaustion/depression: the colors fade and they go a flat pale gray.


• Joy/excitement/love: the flecks grow slightly more saturated.

Her nose is slightly crooked through the bridge. It looks like she had a mild break that was not properly set and it does not seem to impede her breathing.
Her face and shoulders are strewn with a spray of freckles that darken when exposed to the sun.
Very thick auburn hair that she usually wears in a ponytail, the bottom half of which is shaved into an undercut. When loose, it falls several inches past her collarbones.

Identifying Characteristics

'Witchmarks':
Her once dark brown eyes are now a shimmering metallic silver
Her hands, lower forearms, feet and ankles are covered in a frost-like webbing of silvery coloration that starts at her toe/fingertips and dissipate as it moves onto her arms/legs. They started as barely visible, almost like faded, pale scars, and have slowly spread and become more visible as her powers grow. They are the same texture as her skin, but are visibly not tattoos. When she channels, they shift into silver scales. They are soft and supple, not anywhere near as hard or armored as actual dragon scales.
Her freckles are interspersed with tiny silver scales when she channels.
 
Tattoos:
Her upper back and shoulders are adorned with an intricate artistic depiction of a dragon's wings spread as if in flight, rendered in an intricate nature designs, each one with significance to Taiga. The ink of her tattoos is infused with adamantine and they shimmer with the same black-blue-silver-white iridescent sheen as the metal, though their placement on her skin means that the colors change more readily than they would on a blade or armor plate.
A tattoo on the inside of her upper right forearm of a light blue flower native to the mountains of Heia with snow falling onto the petals. Part of a paired set with each of the other OG party members. Mirrors Viggo's.
A small collection of tiny alpine flowers clustered above the scar on her left knee. In memory of Tanaka.
 
Scars:
There are two thick scars running in parallel across her upper chest that look like she was swiped by a set of massive claws.
She has surgical scars on the inside of her right forearm that would suggest that her forearm was once carefully and purposefully cut open.
There is a very small scar on her knee from slipping and falling on rough stone while chasing after her twin brother as a child.
There is a paired set of scars on her left shoulder from where she took an arrow in the back and it fully impaled her.

Apparel & Accessories

Taiga is a minimalist that values practicality and versatility, and this is very apparent in her clothing choices. Most of her wardrobe consists of more traditional Heiyan styles in dark blues, grays and black. She values ease of movement and versatility in her clothes.
She wears hand and lower arm wraps most of the time, either supportive boxing wraps for fighting, or just some cloth wrapped around them to divert attention from the true nature of her 'witchmarks' when channeling.
She has several piercings in each ear, two in each lobe and two in the cartilage. She wears tiny silver hoops in the upper piercings and silver studs, one pair set with light blue stones, in her lobes. None of her jewelry is too shiny to avoid harassment by the baby drakes in Ibaro.
 
Taiga does like to get dressed up and while all of her formal attire is designed to be functional in a fight, she will happily rock a pretty dress or a regal gown. Her personal colors are black and blue with silver accents and most of her formal clothing follows this color scheme.
 
She likes shiny things, but between the baby drakes in Ibaro and her own history of being constantly on the move, she doesn't keep many. Her mother would be appalled. Instead she collects drawings.

Mentality

Personal history

Stolen from her parents over 300 years ago during the fall of her home world, and held hostage, alongside the other eggs to keep the last scraps of the nearly extinct dragons subservient to the Agents, specifically Overlord. She and her two brothers, children of the titanic silver dragon, Winter's First Wind, now stained in blood and known as Redcap, were spared when all other eggs were smashed. They were warped into human children and brought to another world, two raised as twins, and the third deposited in an orphanage on the other side of the world as backup.

Education

Taiga has a very solid educational foundation and has studied all of the core areas (no spellcraft or magical theory) under private tutors while growing up. She can read and write Heian, Gredoran and Narscillian. She can speak and understand every known (and unknown) language, but whatever magic grants her that ability, it does not extend to reading and writing.
She attended most of her first freshman semester at Academia Dracos, and a few weeks of her second. During her second semester, she was expelled, alongside Sebastian, Benedict, Viggo and Cassio, for the assault and the attempted murder of Matsuno Taisho, her brother and a senior at the Academy, on school grounds.
Taiga now spends part of her day (usually at night) reading, researching, and experimenting with her powers.

Employment

Taiga and Viggo serve as the military leaders of the Empire, both on and off the battlefield. Taiga is an elite force by herself and serves as a frontline fighter and leader. She is always happy to throw down in a friendly sparring match.
When off the battlefield, she fulfills her duties as Princess, though with a heavy focus on the war effort more than the day-to-day governing of the country, which is largely taken care of by her in-laws.
Her other full time job is rehabbing her mother and keeping her from committing war crimes and causing more problems for the country.

Taiga is a disaster of PTSD and childhood trauma.
Her dreams, when left to their own devices, are full of nightmares.

Taiga is smart and has a wealth of experience beyond her years. She is hyper observant, in part due to her personal history and in part to her naturally perceptive nature. She is curious and gets excited for new (positive) experiences.
She has good people skills, though she's not trained in politicking and prefers to let others do the talking in serious situations, but can hold her own when needed.

Motivation

Taiga fights to protect her friends, her family, her loved ones, and her world. She is from a fallen and broken world, and she refuses to let her current home suffer the same fate. She is also driven in part by a desire to avenge the people she's lost and those she has all but lost.

Taiga is slow to trust and views most people she meets with a healthy dose of wariness.

She will hold grudges and there is a steep price for betraying her (up to and including death if the betrayal was big or got others hurt).
Her reputation as a ferocious warrior is not exaggerated and she is a dangerous weapon that is often driven to a breaking point on the front lines of the war. Those who know her by reputation only tend to regard her with a large amount of fear and respect.

When her emotions are heightened the temperature around her often drops slightly.
She feels no need to hide her powers or true nature and loves it when the scales mixed into her freckles are visible, so she is often channelling very slightly to keep them visible.

Brothers:
Taiga has two brothers and all of them are around the same age. Taiga is by far the most mature and sees both of them as her little brothers. All three of them are dragon eggs that were turned into humans by Elf to better keep them hostage after all of the rest of the dragons' eggs were smashed. Why they were transformed and moved across worlds is unknown, but Taiga and Tanaka were raised as hostages while Alectius was put in an orphanage as a backup.
Alectius is a very gentle and soft soul who loves plants and just wants to go back to his peaceful and very normal life in Helix. He looks Argosi, of average height, skinny with longish curly brown hair and hazel eyes. He usually has a flower or flower crown woven into his hair. He's not at all athletic nor aggressive, and has a delicate air about him. He's had a very sheltered and normal life up until recently, and he comes off as by far the youngest and least mature of the three.
Tanaka grew up with Taiga and was her emotional rock throughout their horrific childhood. As a human, he looked Toran, had thick red hair, freckles, and dark brown eyes, basically the male version of Taiga. As a kid, he was scholarly and interested in politics and strategy. He loved to read and was a decent fencer. He, like Taiga, was athletically gifted, but lacked her aggression and interest in combat, preferring instead to be the strategist. He was kind, but like Taiga, had to grow up very fast. He was murdered by Matsuno at 11 and was presumed dead for nearly 8 years, until Taiga dug up his grave and found that he had been reverted back to his egg. She is currently working to hatch and reunite with him. Like Taiga, he's silver with ice powers.

Hobbies & Pets

Taiga loves to draw and read in her spare time. She's nowhere near the artist that Sebastian is, but she still loves it. She loves doing artistic renderings of concepts and nature, and designed her tattoos. Her favorite things to draw are plants. She also adores food and loves trying new dishes and cuisines.
Reading was one of her only options to escape from her horrible childhood. She reads more history tomes and military theory than novels nowadays, but she will voraciously devour fiction or myth if given the chance.
She really enjoys parkour and freerunning and incorporates that into her training program. It is both a hobby and useful in city combat.
She doesn't have any pets, but if she ever gets to know peace, she will be adopting a dog.

Speech

She has a decently thick lilting Eastern Heian accent and usually cusses in Heian, no matter what language she's speaking at the time (she uses 'feck' fairly liberally).
