Shen wears the flowing robes of the Church of Akaris. He also wears a sheer black sleeveless turtleneck, short shorts, and stockings to keep his legs warm. On his feet he wears a pair of white gladiator sandals.

Mentality

Personal history

Not much is known about Shen's early childhood. However, when the Wild Hunt ended in 1172 AD, the previous High Priest, High Priest Huang, passed away under mysterious circumstances. During this event, the Duchy of Egostead supposedly used the death of the previous High Priest and the instability of the surrounding regions to take over the land that the Monastery of Akaris occupies. He was taken in by Duke Cervantes von Laurent upon her death.
 
Under Duke Laurent, Shen has had little to no freedom. Shen is not allowed to make decisions for the Church of Akaris without running them by Duke Laurent first. He is not allowed to pursue romance or have children. Shen is not allowed to be seen for too long outside of the Monastery walls without being chaperoned by a guard or a priest that the Duke can easily keep an eye on.
 
However, Shen seeks to break free.
 
Now that Shen has legally hit adulthood, he feels as if he should finally be allowed to make decisions on behalf of the Church. He believes his people should be free to practice their beliefs to the Goddess as they wish, but the Duke sill stands in his way.

Duke Cervantes von Laurent (regent): Shen does... NOT like the duke. The duke was his regent ever since the previous high priest, Shen's mother, "died of natural causes". Ever since then the duke has controlled every aspect of Shen's life from his decisions over the church to his romantic life. Shen wants nothing more than to be free of the duke.
 
Akaris (goddess): Shen's bloodline was blessed by the goddess 1000 years ago. Shen directly serves Akaris and spreads her teachings in return for her divine wisdom.
