Once, Kara Larasha Lunercrest stood proudly at the side of the hero Morgan, a champion within his fabled company. As both warrior and druid, her mastery over flame and nature made her a figure of awe, her infernos tempered by the healing embrace of the wild.

In the depths of the Zegen domain, Kara fell prey to a dark, ancient spirit that wound its tendrils around her heart. Enslaved by its will, she was forced to commit atrocities — her fire scorching the innocent, her druidic gifts turned to blight. To the world, she became a traitor. To herself, a prisoner.
 
Her salvation came in the Prophecy of the Sun. When the Spirit of Fire pierced the shadows and shattered the malignant illusion that bound her, Kara’s true self was restored. Freed from the spirit’s grip, she chose not despair, but atonement.
