Session XXVI: Birds of a Feather
General Summary
Despite Horxim's best efforts, the Kenku Chisel Tick couldn't -- or wouldn't -- divulge any more information about Horxim's parents, Rakeek and Khurr. He did let drop, however, that he works with the Treesingers, and waxed poetic about the joys of being able to live in a tree, as well as the dangers of improper rail and bridge manufacture and installation.
The other members of the party reunited over some delicious tree sap sugar candies and glazed and barbecued sugar glider skewers before everyone returned to the inn, and for the first time in a little over a week, they rested in comfort at The Bearded Mare. Over breakfast the following morning, Retired Captain Calico Jack shared a bit more about his history and confided his reservations about his involvement in the increasingly complex web of affairs the party finds themselves caught up in.
After some conversation, the party set out to explore the great tree city of Mandir, and visited the Pandorian Emporium to peruse local goods. Wiinken was on a quest to create a specific artificer device, and Zaki attempted to find a way to use the staff they'd taken from Vance Pickerin,
Horxim broke off to follow his lead to the Treesinger's Amphitheater, where he encountered two Dryad women, Balsamina and Dentaria. He learned about a secret Sister Grove that exists in the forests outside of Grimvale in Chalcedon and their concerning lack of communication over the past few moons. He also learned that Chisel Tick is somewhat devout, and always takes opportunities to do work and maintenance at The Bethellan whenever possible.
It is the mid to late morning of Tirdas, 2nd of Rain's Hand, Year 10,645 AOE.
