Session XII: Escaping Rambergam Report

General Summary

With luck on their side, the party managed to coax their stolen goats past the closing gate to the city of Rambergam, leaving chaos behind them; a soldier blinded by Horxim and healed by High Priestess Chriseli Oloren, whose date with Zaki was a tragic casualty of the evening's explosive turn of events, as well as a baffled Devdan Loracyne and an irritated if somewhat bemused Captain Ishbel.   They bolted beyond the gates and into the harsh, cold night of the Ridgefell Mountains along with their new companion, Fig Leaf, and their 7 stolen goats.   Horxim sobered himself enough to lead the party down the mountainside and to the road towards Advenere, the closest settlement between Rambergam and Mandir within the Forests of Pando. They traveled for just a couple of hours to get away from the site of their disgrace, then camped on the mountainside. A series of successful rolls meant that everyone's watch was uneventful, though Zenora overheard an unfortunate exchange between Retired Captain Calico Jack and Zaki that Calico attempted to remedy the next morning over hot coffee courtesy of Wiinken's Alchemy Jug. Wiinken's third eye disappeared, leaving her with a splitting headache.   Another series of successful rolls sees the party through four days of travel, culminating in an encounter with an oversized wild boar that had nearly taken down a female centaur. The party rushed to the centaur's aid and slew the boar, earning Cilaia's gratitude and a wooden token of a centaur that the party can use to gain the protection and trust of other centaurs, as well as an excessive quantity of meat.   Expressing a strict adherence to veganism and aversion to blood, Cilaia quickly made her way back into the forest to continue her patrols as the party began to harvest the boar.   It is the afternoon of the 19th of First Seed; it is chilly spring weather with a high of 51 degrees and a low of 36 degrees, partially cloudy. Chandra is Waning Gibbous.

Delivery: Fiona Gammidge has asked Wiinken to deliver a letter and a hand-crocheted doiley to her sister, Azariah, who has just gotten married to a man with a rather unfortunate last name. She lives in Mandir and works at The Ancestral Repository.

Foraging: Eli & Xir have asked for a rare lichen that grows on the trees in the Forests of Pando to experiment with. The lichen is called Asarabacca, and its small purple flowers have been rumored to quell violence.
