General Summary
Previously
The Evergreen Company entered Vorakios' lair, the planar dungeon known as the Fairy Grave. They found themself in a forest of purple grass, pink-leafed trees, and undead an open, pastel orange sky. Immediately, the Deathmist rose to consume the party. Most of the party were immuned to the fog's mind control, but not all. Even then, undead limbs emerged from the mist to claw and tear at them. However, the Company felt their Elyssria's Rings flare to life with power. Intuitively, Elyssria's champion knew that their patron had the power to protect them from the fog, but fairy magic required a cost, moreso to protect their companions not blessed by the Fairy Queen. It was a cost the Company immediately accepted.
As green energy poured out of the rings to wrap around the Company and push back the fog, a powerful, raspy voice boomed out of the sky above them. "You believe that by entering here, you think you can defeat me? Fools, you have only consigned yourselves to a fate worst than death. Bemoan your terrible fate, for your little acts of defiance against the inevitable have given you false hope. For I am the Apostle of the Deathless Shroud, the Seer 9f Souls, and this place will be your Fairy Grave!" From the trees and the ground, scouts and hounds from the famed Wild Hunt emerged, but these were blighted with necromantic energies.
Elsewhere, in a hidden part of the Blighted Forest, Lonán of the Scarlet Ruin suddenly found herself snapped out her meditative trance. Her connection to the seal on the Fairy Grave's entrance had been broken. Her companion and protector, Dragomir the Jade Mountain, scooped her up into his huge arms as she willed tremendous effort to project her astral form in spit of the dimensional lock of the dungeon. When they approached the entrance, they saw the blighted wild hunt, foes they have faced themselves in the past an untold number of times, and new faces in the dungeon not seen in what seemed to be an eternity of patchy memories. They witnessed two of the new faces be cut down and mauled to death, an aelfkyn warrior and a short creatures of many shapes (Maalek and Gnawfang respectively).
Although not knowing who these new people were and how they broke the seal to the dungeon, the pair knew who their enemies were. Dragomir emerged out of the ground near Davona, slaying one scout and wounding another who had surrouned the caelephilim. Meanwhile, Lonán flew forward and infused the slain cohorts with healing energy so powerful that they were brought back to life. The Evergreen Company were stunned by the new arrivals and their actions, but by their actions, they knew they were not the immediate threat. No time for introductions, the Company still had to face Vorakios' minions.
