KM:R 333

General Summary

  • 2 FATE points to Davona and Sky for Josh's notes.
  • Aedre and Orok accept invitation to become full members of the Evergreen Company and become leaders of Prateria alongside the original members.
  • Aedre, Argus, Davona, Jupus, Orok, and Sky reach Argentia's lair, find a black dragon in front of it, and slay it. They find Pyrouranos mounted on a stand made of bones embedded in the corpse of a female silver dragon. The bow is heavily degraded by acid and ritual.
  • Orok brings the bow to the Andrastreia at the Thunderhoof refuge. Iolanthe asks to take it, and she then fires it into the sky. The bow disintegrates, but its arrow of light shoots across the land, and lands in the middle of the Greyfang Peaks, piercing the deadly fog. The fog begins retreating back to its source, its zombies falling dead, and its blighted fey retreating with it. A fading, flickering beam lights up the night sky, marking Pyrouranos' arrow's landing.
  • Mythic Trial (Slaying of Charcalthiak): Aedre, Argus, Davona, Jupus, Orok, Sky
  • 1 FATE point for retrieving Pyrouranos: Aedre, Argus, Davona, Jupus, Orok, and Sky

The Evergreen Company try to decide on what to do next. They must go to Argentia's lair and recover the bow Pyrouranos, but they worry that doing so will bring Vorakios' wrath down upon them while they are vulnerable. They could quickly find refuge under the shielded areas, and thanks to Prateria's aid, Andrastreia believes the Thunderhoof centaurs can defend the refuge against Vorakios' undead and blighted fey for about a week. The Company goes to Arbor's Rest, and test to see if they can move the Pall of Shining Life by moving its anchor ritualist, in this case Adriel. While they find out they can move the anchor caster and maintain the Pall (as long as the ritualist can maintain their concentration, the Pall does not move with her. And when they move Adriel out of the Pall, the shield ceases to exist. The Company also consider requesting the Holy Radimus Empire to volunteer their most powerful casters to fend off Vorakios, but Arina, who has been the anchor for the Pall protecting Viriquia, advises that she has observed Radimite leadership, and they have grand ambitions on the Thalamech Uplands, so requesting their aid may bring more problems in the future. Ultimately, any further actions depended on what Orok would discover.

Orok flew above the Jadehorn Peaks towards Argentia's lair, starting at 6 pm. As he neared its location, he discovered flocks of ravens routinely patrolling. He spent an extra hour to sneak past them. Next, he encountered an area where the air was filled with toxic gasses. Holding his breath, he sped through the area without succuming to its poison. Finally nearing the lair, Orok encountered an area where the air and wind slashed wildly anything in the air. He descended to the ground, whereupon he found himself in a maze to confusing passages and crevasses amidst the mountains. He finally contacted the rest of the Company over their shared mental collective to decide how to proceed further.
