Session 12: Has it been that long? Report
General Summary
Korash Vroal, I greet you my lady of the Green. As commanded, this is my initial report. Your forces arrived safely at the silver walls of the human city. After we passed through the gateway we were able to march the final miles unopposed. As our culture dictates, we marched our strongest warriors to their walls to honor them as worthy opponents. As you advised, we made sure not to bare any blade or fang as not to cause a misunderstanding. The initial approach of our two races went well. They returned the favor to us by honoring our strength. Bells rang as soon as we were spotted and the gates to their stronghold closed quickly. Their soldiers mounted the walls as if preparing for a battle. Then, things became more confusing. I had expected them to send out a delegation of their knights. They did not however. For almost 12 hours they sat behind their walls without any word. They seemed at a loss on how to approach us, even though we had made it as easy as we could by setting up our camps a mere stonethrow from their walls. Eventually we were approached by a group of younglings, barely out of the egg. At first I thought they might have been sent by the city, they had the baring of warriors with experience beyond their years. Their elven leader denied any ties with Keralon however. As I dismissed them, they changed their story. Now they claimed to have nobles among them. Their incomprehensible story began irritating me, as humans often do, so I invited them back to camp. There they tried to convince me to write a missive they would carry to their king. In this letter I would have to explain our intentions, as if our actions so far don't speak for themselves. I conferred with some of my commanders and we agreed to send them back to the city to talk on our behalf. I will probably send my son with them. My commanders reminded me that these younglings were all talk and had not proven their worth so far, so I agreed to a small test of courage and skill. They will face Dran, one of our champions. It will not be a fight to the death, as I do not wish to anger their parents. As I am writing this the soldiers are gathering outside in anticipation. I will report back in a few days with the new developments. I hope there have been no new incidents at the nest? If all goes to plan we might have the help we need soon. Turvosh Orlosh, Rachnar-Trall
