Session 04

The guards warn Belladonna that Goldie must turn herself in by midnight to avoid a bounty on her head for assaulting a guard. Meanwhile, Goldie, both physically and emotionally salty from a fall, returns to the college. Belladonna, already at the dorm, respects Goldie's request for silence until she feels better.   Bob and Marcus learn that Finias' mother is Athena Strand, the owner of Paradise Botanicals. They head to her location in the Botanical District. As Goldie sets out to find Bob but fails, Bob accidentally sneezes and destroys a wall, uncovering stairs leading to secret tunnels.   Bob explores the tunnels, encountering a Dragonborn and an Orc hastily trying to cover their tracks by abandoning bodies and securing items linked to their organization. In the chaos, Bob's snake familiar causes a Dragonborn to knock over a lantern, igniting a fire and setting off a gunpowder explosion. Bob narrowly escapes the blast, but the tunnel collapses.   Back at the dorm, Donna, unable to sleep and unaware of Goldie's whereabouts, does her schoolwork until 4 AM before leaving a note for Goldie and returning to bed. Meanwhile, Marcus informs the guards about the wall Bob destroyed and leads them back to the site.

Session 03

As the city experiences an unusual salt fall, Marcus moves his cart outside the western gate to gather salt for export. Meanwhile, Goldie interrupts Belladonna's mime class to discuss a new contract they secured at the theater, revealing they visited the Guilded Concert Hall.   Bob, hindered by his salt allergy and wearing a large hat for protection, waits for the salting to end so he can begin his street sweeping duties. Belladonna, curious about the contract, seeks out Bob. They decide to discuss the job further at a less guarded location and head to a local cat café. There, Bob suffers an allergic reaction to Lucky, a cat covered in salt.   While at the café, a woman rushes in searching for her son, Finias, who was last seen heading towards the library with Jerome. Lucky indicates the boys went north. As Bob, Belladonna, and Marcus consider the job and prepare to search for Finias, they are abruptly stopped by guards outside the café. The guards force Marcus and Bob to the ground; however, Goldie manages to escape amid the chaos.   The guards detain Bob and Marcus, taking them and several café patrons to the local precinct for questioning regarding Jade's death at Doctor Cydnie's. After giving their statements, Bob and Marcus are released and resume their search for Finias, navigating a day marked by unexpected challenges and interruptions.

Session 02: The Chase

Half an hour into the chase, Bob/Jade finds an alley to revert to Bob. The man pursuing loses track of Jade at an intersection, where he encounters Marcus and Belladonna but escapes into a crowd heading west. Bob, rejoining Marcus and Belladonna, shows them a letter he found. As the rain intensifies and lightning strikes near the school, Belladonna discovers a student causing the storm, which Professor Thumbwick observes as part of an experiment with Bryn Murden’s invention. Goldie, after getting a pretzel bun from Marcus and learning of Bob’s plan to visit the injured woman, follows Bob to Dr. Cydnie’s shop. Inside, Bob experiences an allergic reaction and confronts Dr. Cydnie, who reveals Jade’s death and accuses the trio of her murder, calling for the guards. Bob and Goldie escape just as guards arrive.   They head to a theater involved with a secret underground group led by Lyra. There, Bob communicates using Thieves' Cant and meets Lyra, who discusses a health crisis linked to several doctors, including Dr. Cydnie. Bob mentions specific smells and sounds he noticed at the doctor's shop, which Lyra finds significant. Meanwhile, Goldie, mistaken about their location, is directed to a genuine candle shop. Bob and Goldie leave to reconnect with Marcus and Belladonna, armed with new insights and suspicions about the unfolding mystery.

Session 01: Back at the Beginning

On a partly cloudy summer afternoon, in the city of Hollowbury, Marcus runs a pretzel stand, Bob cleans the streets, and Belladonna and her girlfriend Goldie leave their magic school, Kremerra, to get pretzels from Marcus. As they enjoy their snacks, a bloodied woman stumbles into the square and collapses into Bob’s arms. Belladonna helps with cloths from the stand, while Goldie fetches a healer. Noticing a letter addressed to Lyra in the woman’s hand, Bob keeps it. The healer meets them and promises care, and after leaving the injured woman with him, the group disperses. Bob, transforming to look like the injured woman, encounters another woman who mistakes him for someone named Jade and asks about the letter for Lyra. Misdirected, Bob heads off but is stopped by a man demanding the letter. Bob flirts to escape, but when pursued, he flees past Marcus and Belladonna, who join the chase.
