Session 34: The Chimeras Den Report

General Summary

Zaelith gravely wounded would duck behind a rock pillar. Daereth would stand defiant his shield rent asunder. Talindra would attempt to cast her magic only to be bitten by the massive dragon head of the Chimera, shaken in the beasts jaws before being tossed to the ground. Bahzel too would succumb and then Daereth his chest pierced by massive dragons teeth. Aelorna would rush forward and heal Malakar how would roll thru shadow and get himself away from danger. One by one the others would stand as healing magics poured forth. Aria providing cover with her magics while Zaelith would plunge into the fray renewed. Breathing heavy and bleeding from many grievous wounds the party would stand again over the undead foe taking stock in everyone's condition. Daereth would frown knowing those bite's would leave a lasting mark. Bahzel would harvest the dragon scales from the Chimera finding they could still form armor.  

Returning home they would await the return of their ship and the key from the dwarves. In a weeks time the Storm Wraith would return with the key as promised. Gryphon eggs and rare Gryphon rider armor would be secured and plans would be put in place to restore the aviary. The next several months would pass as Aria and the others set to work building Hithfaer. A tavern, bank, and an arcanist tower would be constructed in this time, as the economy continued to hum. As noble houses coalesced rivalry's and faction infighting would slowly begin to foster, it was feeling more and more like home.  

Many would depart visiting their elven neighbors searching for clues of the Sol Variar, while Aria spent most of this time excavating the ancient creation temple, she was becoming quite the archeologist. Talindra and Isenara would find evidence of Luthias past lives, while Malakar with the help of Elirien communed with an Owl of Kelandrae to find information and a path forward. Aelorna would treat with the summer elves, with limited success. Zaelith would finish the arcanist tower with the aid of Nythara in establishing its operation. Bahzel would put an end to the crime wave killing the thief in his attempted aprehension. Daereth would work drilling the guard and assiting Durkor in the smithy as many orders for Dragon Hide armor were placed. Selestiel would return from a near 3 month expedition north with news of many undead hoards and other oddities in the wastes ahead.
