Last we left off, the party accepted a mysterious escort contract from Lady Tyrill Fealrick, a woman whose identity raised immediate suspicions. Their investigation led them to the Raquel Family Homestead, where they encountered Prince Sokarith—a crystalline-horned ogre who offered them gold and alliance to stop his father, the Ogre King, from harnessing Voidheart's power to achieve godhood. The prince warned that five of seven seals had already been broken, and time was running desperately short. Upon reaching the homestead, the party found a massacre. Working alongside the wizard Melius, they uncovered a horrifying scene: mercenaries slaughtered, a bartender clawed to death, a kitchen worker burned alive, and a teenager with a broken neck hidden in a beer cask. The tracks told a disturbing story—Voidheart had been here, along with a young armored woman and a shapeshifting creature of shadow and bone. But it was the discovery of a longsword bearing Voidheart's symbol that changed everything. As Tak placed the weapon into his magical bag, a glyph flared to life and smoke poured forth, coalescing into a nightmarish form—a mass of tentacles ending in eyes, a gaping maw, and one central eye gleaming with unmistakable glee. Now, as this silent horror materializes before them in the blood-soaked tavern, we pick up with the party facing a threat they may not have been prepared to unleash...
Last we left off, our intrepid party found themselves grappling with the consequences of their previous misadventure. With their companion Tinky De Brave lying unconscious after the removal of a cursed bracelet, they made their way to a crucial Magi Assembly meeting at the Colosseum. There, before fifty gathered mages and three powerful archmages - Palitus of the Order of Sages, the elven Far Traveler Emerald, and the tenedris dwarf Grenda - they recounted their tale of deception and unleashed ogres. The revelation that these ancient enemies could shapeshift and teleport sent shockwaves through the assembly, particularly when the party revealed intelligence about an underground ogre capital and their discovery of the ancient Silverwave clan. The assembly quickly mobilized in response to this existential threat. After binding themselves with geas spells to ensure loyalty, the party received powerful magical equipment from the archmages: Tak donned the gleaming Plate armour, Shei wielded a Rod of the Pact Keeper, and Garuman received a Helm of Telepathy. With their mission clear - track down the kidnapped Voidheart and the shapeshifting ogre queen Mika - they prepared for what lay ahead while the various mage orders coordinated their own responses to the growing ogre menace. Now, after being teleported to the cliff-side town of Pasan in the Northern Hills, the party finds themselves investigating reports of a brutal massacre at a local homestead. But as they meet with Magistrate Deontorin and prepare to interview the sole survivor - a red-haired woman with distinctive moles beneath her right eye - a chilling realization dawns upon them. In a world where enemies can wear any face and trust has become a luxury they can ill afford, they must wonder: is this truly a survivor of the ogres' violence, or have they once again walked into the web of a master deceiver?
The party has finally made it to the Isle of Mystrium. There they hope to speak with the archmages of the Island and get some answers, advice, and general knowledge. Will they find what they seek, is there danger on the island... and what of the future that Garuman fortold in the flame.
