The world as it was once known lies in ruins; a once-thriving land reduced to a scorched and irradiated wasteland. Cities have crumbled, swallowed by the sands of a nuclear desert born from mankind’s greatest folly. The very air crackles with radiation, mutating beasts into monsters, twisting minds, and corrupting the land itself. Mega-corporations, now the true rulers of this broken world, fight over the last remnants of power while the masses toil away, working to feed the endless hunger of machines and profit. Magic, once thought to be myth and legend, has resurfaced through the twisted manipulation of nuclear energy. But hope, like inhabitable territory, is in short supply.
You find yourself on a train, the rhythmic chugging of the engine the only sound accompanying the dim glow of failing lights. There is no destination on the map for this train. Its only purpose is to deliver those like you to a place at the end of the line, a place known as The Gulley. A work camp where the lost, the forsaken, and the discarded are sent to waste away, their strength leeched in service of the mega-corporations that rule this land. The Gulley, they say, is a man-made hell, where hope dies and the only escape is death. Legend has it that a few, and only a few, have ever clawed their way out of this place, but those are just whispers in the wind, tales to distract the desperate from their inevitable fate.
As the train rumbles closer to its grim destination, the question lingers in the back of your mind: when you arrive, will you lie down and die, as so many have before you? Or will you fight, fang and claw, to escape this hellish pit, to defy the fate that the corporations have decided for you? The Gulley is waiting... but how will you face it?
