Xan & Gai

• Xan was playing with Gai outside the military fort, but something grabbed Gai’s attention.
• Alerted Xan looked around and couldn’t see anything.

• Xan mentioned that Gai heard something down the dirt road.
• Tern asks, Xan and Gai, what the noise is.
  • Gai was unsure of what made the noise.
• Ladron sneaks up the road to see if he could find anything or anyone spying on them.
  • Looks around a bit, but started falling into the marsh.
• Vaela looked around and was confident that whatever it was was long gone.

  • Pretend to be the Baron for 3-4 days.
  • Decree the Barons' retirement and indorse a replacement.
  • The Baron dies at sea on the ship Ladies Wave.
• Kuu asks who he is endorsing.
  • Madeline mentions, “Henry Hammond.”
  • Kuu & Ladron are in disbelief that “Dirty” Henry Hammond.
  • Ladron is venomously against Henry Hammond.
    • Ladron mentioned that a person bullied him at the orphanage.
    • Kuu mentioned that he has violent impulses.
  • Madeline assures them that Henry Hammond has changed, since his accident.
    • Henry Hammond got kicked in the head by a horse.
  • Tern tries to chime in against using Henry Hammond.
    • But Madeline mentioned that it is out of her hands.
  • Madeline offers information to those willing to help with the ruse, which can be sought from the Western Flock.
    • Even those who are staring at their conversation.
  • They begin talking about the plan, how to and how to lie.
    • Kuu is shocked that Tern taught them a lesson about lying.
    • Kuu is shocked by other suggestions about faking the Baron's injuries.
      • Vaela would be glad to inflict wounds on him.
      • Nyxara suggested to tie Kuu to Rollie and have Rollie roll down the hill while continuously running over Kuu.
    • The group discussed how Kuu would get off the boat, but the Baron died.
      • Nyxara suggested she could come onto the boat as someone's pet.
        • But, Tern suggested that she comes on as herself and Kuu transforms into her and she transforms into a pet.
    • Xan informs the team about the Flaming Hammer.
      • The warehouse out back holds contrabands in the basement.
        • A ladder by the bathroom leads down to the basement.
      • The blacksmith creates most of the weaponry for the Steelflags.

• The hotel host waves Tern down and gives them a neatly gifted box.
  • Tern asked for a description of the person who left the gift.
  • In the box is Sprig's hand in a Firbolg offensive gesture.
  • In the box is a painted picture of a bonfire above people lying on the ground.
    • Vaela identifies the picture as a burial fire.
• Brena hands over the dossier.
  • They comment on the romance novel descriptions of the dossier and wondered who wrote it.
• Tern has concerns over a conflict of interest between Bishop Thormound McKinnon and his brother, a member of the Steelflags.
• They talk about investigating the Flaming Hammer.
  • Kuu, disguised as somebody, and Nyxara will turn into a cat to investigate the Flaming Hammer.

• They gathered Sprig's face and asked about Soalgo at the Temple of Helm.
  • They handed over the box, but Soalgo wasn’t available.

• Kuu & Nyxara disguised themselves as they entered the Flaming Hammer.
  • Nyxara turned into an orange cat.
  • Kuu turned into a rich man.
• Nyxara sniffs around the shop to get the shopkeeper's attention.
  • The blacksmith, Golilo Firebeard, is startled by the orange tabby and is instantly smitten by the cat.
• Kuu noticed a weird sprinkler system on the ceiling and the piping entering the next room.
• Golilo Firebeard asked how he could help, but called in Zane Cromwell to talk to Kuu.
  • Zane Cromwell and Kuu talked about automated cat toys.
• Nyxara managed to convince the Golilo Firebeard to enter the backroom.
  • The backroom has a drafting table, filing cabinets, and a brass tank with pipes that go into the main room.
  • Nyxara jumped onto the drafting table and saw plans of an unusual armor.
  • Nyxara jumped onto the brass tank, creating angry chaos.
    • Zane Cromwell came rushing into the room and tried to grab the cat and failed.
    • Golilo Firebeard eventually caught Nyxara before she could “accidentally” move the valve atop the tank.
    • Zane demanded that Kuu leave with his cat.
