Session 4: How did you manage that?

General Summary

The party meets with a distraught Elira, who has just learned from fellow ranger Rolen Thorneleaf that her outpost has been overrun by the Hounds. Determined not to abandon her comrades, she pleads for the group’s aid — and once again, they agree to stand with her.

Together they organize the assault. The bandits have fortified the outpost: guards stationed in the watchtower and yard, while their leader, Krala Ironfang, lurks in the captain’s quarters with two henchmen, interrogating the captured rangers.

As the others prepare their ambush, Gorun slips away, attempting to infiltrate the quarters unseen. Outside, steel clashes as the party springs their attack, cutting down the guards with precision. Inside, Gorun finds himself face-to-face with Krala — a towering orc warrior, her greataxe gleaming in the dim light.

The duel is brutal. Blow after blow, Gorun holds his ground until the tide turns. At last, with the outpost yard cleared, the others join him, and together they bring Krala and her bandits to defeat.

With the prisoners freed and the outpost reclaimed, the rangers host a feast in celebration. For the first time in many nights, the forest feels a little safer.
