Shadows and Whispers

The Kingdom of Doriande is at a tipping point. Political tensions simmer across the realm, with conflicts brewing in city councils, between rival cities, and within powerful organizations.   Amidst this turmoil, a string of mysterious raids has disrupted trade along the King’s Highway in the Whispering Forest. Official reports blame common bandits, but whispers among the wary suggest something far more sinister lurks beneath the ancient canopy.   A young Ranger, acting outside the watchful eyes of her superiors, entrusts the players with a dangerous covert mission. What begins as an investigation into simple robberies will unravel into a web of intrigue, supernatural forces, and long-buried secrets. As they tread deeper into the heart of the mystery, they will face powerful enemies, forge uncertain alliances, and confront forces that threaten more than what's immediately obvious.   Will they become the kingdom’s unseen saviors, or will they be swept away by the storm of war and ambition?
