Session 2: Welcome to the New World Report

General Summary

This session began in the mountainscape of Solime particularly in the "Toaka Olta" or the Mineral Mountains. The party proceeded down the path in front of them, after a while of trekking Ellywick spied a serpent like creature in the sky that was being chased by a horde of bat, chicken, lizard hybrids. The party being notified of the incoming mob attempted to hide, unfortunately the efforts of Garson, Rosamila and Ser Jacques were unsuccessful and some of the stragglers at the end of the horde descended upon the party.
Fighting valiantantly in the centre of the 8 beasts Ser Jacque was caught by the snapping beak of one of the creatures he was turned to stone in the middle of the battlefield. The group continuing their efforts to bring down the gastily birds, Ellywick also caught a beak bite, turning her to stone as she cried out to Tolkien her companion. The mobile members, Craig, Rosamila, Gilderarm and Garson brought down the remaining creatures, each taking trophies/evidence (feathers, talons etc) of their vicious, winged discovery. Inspecting their petrified companions they discovered Ser Jacque's colour slowly returning in his fingers, after having a short rest their friends cased in stone had now returned to their normal form.
Ser Jacque announced that they still had ground to make before they should stop, the party pushed on down the trail. After awhile of travel the group came upon a fork in the road, one direction leading to the right and the other straight forward, discussing the options they decided to continue forward. They followed the road in front without finding any signs of civilization until the strange orb in the sky that they believed to be the sun, began to changed colours, the hues of sunset merged into the white light rather than the orb setting, acting like a reflector for the change of planets somewhere else in the void of space.
Figuring night may be falling the party decides to set camp on the road for night, Rosamilla and Jacque taking the first watch, whilst the party were sleeping they began to dream pleasant visions of journey toward a warm home in the cold, a familiar feminine voice calling them. Ser Jacque, awake and beating the enthrallment, hears the unsettling song of beasts lying in the mountain tops, he sees Rosamilla fall to sleep before him and senses something is not right. He sees his fellow companions all arise in a dreaming stat and walk down the road in the night, he follows attempting to wake them but manages only to wake Gilderam with a heavy smack, both trying to guard their unwaking party on their sleep walk down the road, hearing the heavy beat of large wings above them. The sleep walkers stop and enter into a dark cave, Gilderam is able to distinguish the sight of feathered, leathery, female looking bat beasts, lurking in the cove.
The party then awakes in combat after Ser Jacque and Gilderam deal blows toward the monstrous RockWrens. Defeating one of the Rock Wrens and destroying their eggs, a shadowed figure darts from outside the cave and into the space, lighting a torch and throwing toward the winged creatures. They flee its flame as quickly as they can, appearing blinded by its heated light.
The shadowed figure speaks to the party in an unknown dialect, she reveals her face to the vision of a pale faced and dark featured, elven woman.
Seeing the visage of Ser Jacques, Gilderam and Rosamilla, she appears confused and unable to understand what you are trying to speak to her.
She calls out to someone outside of the cave and in walk a man, half his figure appearing like working cogs, gears and smoke, the other half human. He introduces himself to the party as Ernest Colt and translate for the elven woman he introduces to the group as Less Lyler, saying that they need to return to the city of Dora with them so they may give them an elixir to understand the dialect in this world he claims is called Solime.
Travelling to the city, the party are met with the view of an incredible, floating city. Less speaks with the guard that is infront of a railed carriage, after discussing something with him the group climbs aboard and the guard sends the carriage into the sky with his wind propulsion on the spinning mechanism below it. They ascend into the sky and up to the city of Dora, arriving in the outer peak dock, Less Lyler informs Ernest to tell the party that they must travel over the connecting bridge to the inner castle peak.
Entering the inner peak they notice it is far more opulent than its outer neighbours yet it is practically deserted. They stop at an establishment of finery, cast in white marble, they discover another elven woman there of auburn hair, who they discover is Less's sister Linn Lyler, owned of the establishment they are currently in. The sisters speak to one another in their own dialect before directing the party to their rooms in the rich building.
Each taking some time to rest bath and dress in the attire provided to them in their lodging, each member is then met with a knock at the door of their rooms. Linn Lyler stands there quietly and presents them with a cup of steaming liquid. Drinking the liquid the members are given the ability to speak and understand the language of Solimin. Linn then instructs them to wait in the parlour where Ernest Colt is already present for the arrival of the Queen.
Exchanging introductions in the foyer, the party all formally meet Ernest Colt and chat for a moment before the room is filt with a momentous boom at the door.
Linn followed by Less, hurry to the door and open it, bowing in the cities customary, arms to their sides, sight faced to the ground, formality. In strides to golden clade, armoured, female guards that stand in the center of the room. After they are situated in saunters the elven appearing Queen. She trails forward toward the party and genuflects, arm outstretched toward Gilderam of the Heavy Hand, directly. Placing their palm on the queens open hand, she raises them both up and introduces herself as Queen Liacathia, proclaiming she is most interested in their journey and that should now sit and dine together.
