With survival in mind, Elrin and Minos gathered pelts and meat from the strange supposed-to-be-extinct creatures. Meanwhile, the others went to inspect the temple door. However, Gimble was intercepted by a blue man with markings wearing a jaguar pelt over his body. The man knew something about the temple, and further questioning revealed his name to be Cheveyo. He wasn't extremely helpful. On the other hand, he did mention the temple was a giant puzzle, treasure lies at the bottom, and there are a handful of guardians who will most likely attack you. In addition, he mentioned the temple was dedicated to Omnia before walking through the door. When the group attempted to follow, they could not. However, Minos was able to open the door by calling upon Omnia, apparently. Once inside, the party found notes belonging to someone who recently attempted to transverse the temple. On the wall, a depiction of the floor below revealed the location of switches that open doors. Slowly the group made their way to the floor below where the struggled to determine the difference of what was useful and what was a ruse. Eventually, the group managed to save Gimble, who was attacked by a gem encrusted floating skull, a suffocating Elrin trapped in a room, and bring everyone to the room with the hand switch. Once all together, everyone noticed how hungry they were despite lacking the ability to tell the time of day. Using the torches in the room to make a small fire, Minos cooked the meat he retrieved from the velociraptors. Resting up, the group spent some time bonding. They heard a story from Zurie about a girl who drowned, Karma told a few fortunes, and Elrin got Zurie to finally explain what happened with the heart and her trident. After their meal, all that's left to do is to see what lies below.
After a night of drinking, as adventurers do, you awoke to find that Susie had put you in a group to search for lost treasure on an uncharted island. After procuring fresh water and rations, you set off on your course. Unfortunately, the wind on the first day was stale. Perhaps this was a omen for what was to come. Over the next three days you learned a bit more about your traveling companions, and found assistance from a pod of dolphins. Your good luck seemed end when a thunderstorm obscured your visibility and lured you into a maelstrom. Gimble was thrown from the deck when the yard of the mast swung out, and he was tossed into the maelstrom. Elrin, thinking on his toes, tied rope around himself and dove in after him. While Minos was keeping the helm steady, Karma and Zurie held onto the rope. Their bodied slammed into the rails while trying to keep hold of the line. All was futile when lighting struck the mast tearing it down. The combustion of the strike sent both Karma and Zurie over the rails and into the water. At this point, The Reprisal was heavily damaged and sinking. Minos, alone and scared, went down with the ship. Elrin, Karma, and Gimble, were knocked out from the swirl debris colliding with their heads. But Minos and Zurie saw it. This maelstrom was funneling into a portal of stars and the night sky. In the morning, an uncertain amount of days later, the party wakes on a sandy beach surrounded in pieces of the Reprisal. She's not alone, as there were two other shipwrecks across the cove. Hesitantly, the group ventured into the island following the scent of perfume Zurie picked up. It led to a dilapidated ruins of a stone village. Karma found some good worth keeping in what might've been a house at one time. In the center of the village, a strange ritual with torches and incenses lie in a circle. It was apparent that no one was around although the torches were burning and the incenses newly lit. After Minos picked up one of the incense, a flock of birds abruptly flew out of the treetops. A horde of goblinoid creatures started charging at you, and chased you down. Zurie tripped, and Elrin turned around to see her overwhelmed by twenty goblins. Minos, charging past Elrin, knocks all the goblins off of Zurie with extreme precision. The group ran into the jungle to escape, and Gimble blinded the goblins chasing them with the dirt from the ground. After finding some time to catch your breaths, Zurie noticed a figure moving through her peripheral vision. It was the silhouette of a woman. She moved mysteriously as she'd walk behind a tree and reappear behind another one. It was apparent that this figure wanted the party to follow her. Once close enough, she pointed past the trees, and an illusion dissipated revealing a massive city laid in ruin. In the center a temple stood. The group approached only to be attacked by a school piranhas occupying the flooded streets. The group fought to the top, even encountering a velociraptor they could not kill. As the group looked toward the double doors, hiding whatever treasure they may find inside, a strange noise came from their companion Zurie. The group looked back to see her feeding the heart of the largest dinosaur to her trident which grew teeth momentarily. Zurie looks up at you and says…
