Interacting with the natural world as much as possible, Shimmer travels with a pair of trained Ravens, a common Housecat, and a Falcon valet. She has a mule as a trained beast of burden. A Thylacine - a sort of saber-toothed marsupial resembling a cat - trails behind her entourage as well, trained as a guard creature. Each animal has been personally trained by Shimmer herself.

She also has an assortment of body piercings likewise worth five gold in total. On her left wrist is an elaborate silver-and-amethyst bangle, modeled after one worn by Arshae - this is a Holy Symbol worth one hundred gold.
She possesses a Backpack that she rarely wears, which contains the bulk of her worldly belongings: a Grooming Kit, a Shaving Kit, and a Collapsible Bathtub.
Inside another Backpack is a Bedroll, a Mess Kit and Iron Pot, ten Torches, five days of Trail Rations, and a Waterskin. Attached to this backpack is a Belt Pouch containing Flint and Steel, Ink, an Inkpen, and thirteen gold coins.
All of these containers are carried on the back of a Mule she trained herself and loaded with a Pack Saddle. Additionally, the mule's saddlepack contains tools for crafting Jewelry and Clothing, as well as for designing and applying Tattoos.
As an escaped slave, Shimmer has few societal connections. However, she has spent a few years traveling with the Witchmarket, and was born and raised as a merchant's child in Osirion before being captured by the Aspis Consortium and sold into slavery.
