WorldEmber 2025 Prep
And we're back at it again! 2nd attempt at WorldEmber, hoping that this year will go just as well, if not better, than last year's!
WorldEmber is by-far my favourite official WA challenge, it encourages me to write more while also allowing me complete and utter free-reign over what I write about (I love Summer Camp but sometimes I find myself just staring at the prompts and wondering how I make them fit my world). So I am super excited now that WorldEmber is right around the corner once more!
Last year, I aimed for 10k and ended up overshooting that goal with only a couple of articles written very late into the event. So this year I'm going to aim for 25k--and, with hope, I plan to write more articles and not leave them until the very last moment.
Zurith is still a very empty world, I've spent most of 2025 working on maps and other more aesthetic things rather than any actual articles, so there's not much more in my world than there was last WorldEmber--so I have plenty of big articles planned that I can write about. I think I will mostly be focusing on Zurith's magic systems, in particular the users of those magic systems and also the Arcanums. On top of this, I will be writing a lot about the dragons and the gods of Zurith.
To me, the bingo looks like a really cool concept! I don't know exactly how well I'll manage to stick to the bingo, but we'll definitely give it an attempt! With hope, I'm going to end up with so many edits to this image.
My scope for WorldEmber will be the country of Varken on the continent of Kaerin and its overseas territory, Creorus, as well as on the magic system of Zurith! I have prepared a list of articles related to these areas that I want to write and have it stored in my notebook!
