Chulafiend
It isn’t entirely known how the Chulafiend came into play, but their bloodline traces back hundreds of years to when they were nothing but revivified animal corpses used as slaves for greater demons during the Blood War. The species did something their masters didn’t predict, however, and they evolved to gain sentience of their own. A group of them made their escape from the Abyss, and from a portal in Pazunia, landed in the world of Toril. They are a reclusive bunch and tend to keep to themselves in tightly knit tribes, but it isn’t unusual to have one wander away in the pursuit of knowledge or self-discovery.
