Wayfinder Staff

Every nomad knows that once you are in the wilderness the feeling of hopelessness is your biggest enemy.

Hope is the thing that can keep you going or be your end, there is no middle ground.

Each group needs a leader, wayfarer and shepherd, preferably all in one person.

Nomadic tribes constantly move from place to place trying to find fresh pastures for their livestock and shelter for themselves.

We cannot be sure if the tribes want to settle or if they enjoy being always on the road.

While some members of the nomadic communities became incredibly adept at finding the greenest grazing land, there is no beating a person with a wayfinder staff.

The staff is passed down from leader to leader, it is always done by voting by the whole tribe. It is understandable that the people select their new guide.

The staff itself possesses magical power that enables the holder to usher special incantation and be directed towards the destination you desire if it is shelter, water or food source just say a word and staff wll bring you to it.

It gives the holder the power to point the tribe towards survival and prosperity.

One needs to remember also that the staff provides guidance towards the spoken goal, it does not have a mind of its own to always take the best course of action for the tribe.

The staff while providing direction it splits also into two one-handed blades that are incredibly sharp and never dulls.

Perfect kind of weapon to have with you at all times going through vines of a jungle or having to deal with aggressive creatures.

It seems to work wonders also for the morale of the clan, everyone seems a little happier when they are moving behind this gleaming staff in front of them.
