Falthingor
While the name remains the same over the millenia High Elves have been here, the place changed multiple times over social changes, wars or isolationism.
High Elves have been around for a long time and they think of themselves superior to other often younger races.
When this settlement was built, it was robust, massive and for the most part defenseless, there were no walls around their place, but there were posts scattered across the Goye Forest to provide early information about the situation around their part of the world.
The sphere of influence was much larger back then, the Fal'thir plains were once a part of Falthingor, but after 1st Undead War, the place was consecrated, small village was built, later named Ominah and couple of guardians were placed in there.
The Elves retreated closer to the sea, but still covered the Goye forest as it provided much needed shelter from the inland races.
The Falthingor changed during that period, the walls were erected around the city proper and multiple outposts were built in the Goye Forest.
Then came the 3rd Orc War, which ravaged the Falthingor from the south. The orcs' forces came through the Broken Bridge and straight from the Sunken Temple of Umberlee.
A part of Goye Forest was burned down and vast majority of the Elven forces were killed during that war, if it wasn't for the reinforcements from Orioth, it would be cooked.
After the war, Queen Cetacia decided to move the encampment high above the ground with thick forest spawned below them.
For the unkeen eye there is nothing here apart from the jungle, but those who know will look for the clearing in the tree canopy for the entry to the Elven kingdom.
Who knows what next changes will be for the High Elves and their capitol.
