Session 10 Recap

From Barney's Journal - Sunday, 8th of Bloomfall, 876 SA   The past few days have sucked, well really just the past few hours, but I’ll get to that. All seemed fine. I woke up, had some breakfast, watched Finkin play some music with Krivcrath. Krivcrath 'bout killed Finkin when he tried to swipe his belt or some shit.   Then, Eliander came in. That’s when the trouble started. Apparently, some island needs a lighthouse to help the war effort against the Sahuagin – fuck those guys. So who else but us gets asked to scout the island. We set off for the island after checking in with Eda and did some shit with the crew to get them ready for whatever was to come. Neptune caught another fucking octopus. I swear, one more octopus tentacle for dinner and I’m going to have to help him hunt next time…   Anyways, we got to the island. Things seemed quiet. Goddle sent his little bird to check things out. We got off the boat and made for the coast. Things were fine until an unholy fuck ton of skeletons started attacking us. Thankfully they were stopped from pursuing us by ummm… magic? Sure, magic.   We went in the ruins next. Yeah, fucking ruins, what could go wrong. Well, let me tell you, everything went wrong. We got in a fight with some gladiator looking fuck. Then some Ozyman-whatever came out of a room and started talking to Ungir. Ungir talked us out of a fight. I asked if they were Scarlet Brotherhood, and they got all finicky, so we fought them. Everyone but me got pretty hurt. We killed most of them, but the last few surrendered.   The Survivors told us about some necklace to keep the undead from attacking us. Yeah, more undead. We found a bunch of shit. I put on the necklace and led the way. Everything was going great. The undead weren’t attacking us. Then, I fell in a pit, then another, then another. Ungir fell with me once or twice. Then, we climbed through some creepy crystal Minotaur looking thing. I pulled a leaping Goddle across a pit of acid. Yes, I fell in that one too. Gonna have to remember that trick. We found a room full of “treasure” which Goddle told us was an illusion. We found a secret door. This giant statue thing came after us. We ran. Then, we find fucking Krell and that asshole Skerrin fighting… Yeah, so shit is fucked.   We killed Skerrin. Then, Krell went all crazy, as expected, so we started fighting him. Then, some robed dude came out. He seemed pretty alright, so we left him alone. But then shit got weird, and I heard his voice tell me to attack Finkin and I did… Knocked poor guy clear unconscious. Then, Neptune hit him too. Finkin was the only one of us that managed to stand up to this guy. He claimed to be Lord Scarlet. If that’s the case, we’re fucked…   He then made some fucking magic holes that he stepped into and that swallowed up Skerrin and Krell’s corpses. Fucking weird. Before he left he did say some shit about good luck with the Sahuagin and the rifts. What fucking rifts? Oh, and he took the necklace from me. Cue the banging at the door down the hall.   After searching the room and resting for a second, Goddle cast some spell to make a tower appear in the middle of the room, and just in time cause that giant statue thing came busting through the door. We ran. Magic was cast. Ungir almost got left behind – I don’t feel great about that one, but I wanted to make sure the way out was safe. Thankfully, the hundreds of skeletons were still stopped by ummm… magic? So we made it back to the boat, and now I don’t know what the fuck we do next. Island still has hundreds of skeletons walking around. Skerrin is dead, but his body is gone, so yeah, hope they believe us on that one… As for building a lighthouse on the island, ummm did I mention the hundreds of skeletons walking around the island? At least Belgren and the rest of the group are still alive. I’m going to bed…
