Persana, master of tides
Persana hails from the Elemental Plane of Water, where he has historically served as the Triton's patron deity. Circumstances in Zor, however, led him to take on a greater role as the protector of its seas and oceans. Untold millennia ago, an alliance of good aquatic deities across the multiverse resolved themselves to banishing Sekolah (the evil shark-faced god worshipped by the Sahuagin) from their collective realms. Noting that Zor was unaligned with any known ocean gods, they chose to seal away Sekolah there along with a legion of his Sahuagin warriors.
What Persana and his allies did not know was that Zor already had a deity watching over its seas - Procan - who was less than pleased to find the sailors who made offerings to him in exchange for safe voyages tormented by Sekolah's never ending blood lust for new beings to hunt. Procan's power over the winds and the weather could do little to stop Sahaugin from massacring entire ships, and thus he cried out against whatever forces had brought this scourge to his world. Persana, being the noblest and most duty-bound of his peers, was the first to respond, personally travelling to Zor.
Upon seeing the state of its seas at the hands of Sekolah, he immediately opened a portal to the Elemental Plane of Water - creating the Inner Sea in the process - and summoned forth an army of Tritons to join him in a conquest against his enemy's forces. Once order had been restored, Persana resolved to take more responsibility over Zor's oceans, leaving a contingent of his forces to settle in the Inner Sea. Persana himself has remained vigilant over Zor, occasionally to the annoyance of Procan, who Persana sees as a "lesser" god in need of guidance.
