Obsidian Dragon

The integumentary system of this dragon is made of an obsidian and adamantine alloy making sure that nothing can get in or out. Because of this it is unable to use sweat to regulate temperature. So it also has these Copper scales that go over the obsidian alloy that have these runes ice and fire runes on it to regulate its temperature. Because of the magical energy used in the runes it is unable to create a breath weapon. With this powerful outer protection its main weakness is illness, this causes it to have developed a none magical amazing lymphatic system that helps defend its self. Its endocrine system can release an alchemical hormone called Ghost Bonemeal, this can activate the runes on the silver scales causing them to lightly glow. Ghost Bonemeal is made by using a special sac in the digestive system, that converts the magical potential of life into a magical ingredient. Ghost Bonemeal when used in a ritual spell causes it to work in the regular amount of time consuming the Bonemeal in the process. The sliver scales are filled with enough of this material to fuel one casting of one spell. In order to maintain the water balance in the blood, it has a small rune that transports the water into the water plane.

This creature has a 46 chromosomes like humans, a recessive trait of these creatures is all Bronze, causing it to have massive amounts of magical potential giving it a fire and ice breath weapon. Its life goes Wyrmling -> Regular -> Adult -> Ancient

It must eat live creatures in order to gain the bronze scales. If it runs out of bronze scales it has only 1 hour to live before it dies of over heating.
