You or a creature you can see within range experience a temporary transformation. An unwilling creature can succeed on a Constitution saving throw to not be affected by the spell. When cast on an unwilling creature, the spell is considered to be a curse which can be removed by spells and abilities such as Remove Curse or Greater Restoration. This spell does not work on undead or constructs, or on creatures that lack a corporeal form.
For the duration, the target creature's flesh becomes rock hard, their skin takes on a rocky or pebbled appearance matching that of the material component used, and their weight doubles. The creature's walking, jumping, and climbing speed are halved, and if the creature is in liquid they cannot swim and sink to the bottom unless something prevents them from doing so. Additionally, the creature has disadvantage on all Dexterity checks and saving throws. However, the creature gains the following benefits:
- They gain advantage on Constitution checks and saving throws.
- They gain resistance to all damage types except psychic damage.
- They are immune to the paralzyed, petrified, and stunned conditions.
- They cannot be shoved or knocked prone while standing on earth or stone.
Immediately after the spell ends, an affected creature must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or suffer one level of exhaustion. A creature that was affected by the spell for longer than 1 minute has disadvantage on this save.
At Higher Levels. You can concentrate on this spell for 3 additional hours per spell slot level used to cast it above 4th level.
