You set a proximity alarm on a location you can see within 5 feet of yourself. Until the spell ends, a mental alarm that only you can sense alerts you whenever a Small or larger creature that you cannot see moves into the area within 30 feet of the spell's location. When you cast the spell, you can designate creatures that won't set off the alarm (such as your fellow party members). The spell doesn't provide any information as to the identity or kind of detected creatures, but you do know how many creatures there are, from which direction they entered the area, when they leave the area, and in which direction they exited from.
This spell ends when its duration elapses, or if you cast it again (whichever comes first).
At Higher Levels: The range of detection improves to 60 feet at 5th level, 90 feet at 11th level, and 120 feet at 17th level.
