Description
A tiny ball of whispy ethereal shadows, with no fixed shape or obvious features. Sometimes it moves erratically, lazily meandering to and fro. Other times it darts rapidly in straight lines. Alternately, it hovers unmoving and still. The air within a 1-foot radius of it is noticeably cooler than it should be, but the locus makes no sound, has no odor, and is difficult to see in poor lighting conditions.
Notes
These useful spirits are actually manifestations of the essence of the half-alive half-dead deity Olyph, sent by him to aid some of his mortal servants such as various warlocks. Some say that while such a locus serves the mortal it is gifted to very ably, Olyph also gains something from the arrangement. It is not inconceivable that the Squatting God may also be able to perceive the world through the sense of his loci, or that he knows what they know. It would certainly be in character for the Archivist of the Gods to collect as much information as it can, by any means necessary...
