Sol
Sol is a rank in the Solgalian templars given to the highest of the templars. A Sol is one of the deadliest and most respected templars in the Sun Kingdom.
Qualifications
A Sol must be stronger than the rest of the templars, and have unwavering devotion to the sun & the people.
Appointment
The Grand Sun gives a Sol their rank through using an idol of Leo as a conduit for the blessing.
Duties
A Sol has a duty to defend his people and the honor of the sun. They often show up at sermons to inspire others to show their faith to the sun.
Benefits
A Sol has respect and admiration of the people. They get paid up to 3,000 gold a week for their services to the people.
Accoutrements & Equipment
Sols are given freshly forged and gorgeous armor & claymore encrusted with gold and celestial sigils.
Grounds for Removal/Dismissal
Should a Sol disgrace the sun they would be stripped of their rank and sentenced to life in prison.
History
The rank of Sol was invented by Hyperion during the Sun War as many templars showed their devotion to the sun and their people, they were imbued with more power and grace. Those given this power were one of the strongest templars in the nation and slayed all darkness in their way. The rank of Sol became a symbol of peace and hope as invincible warriors using the sun's grace for the world.

Sols are a big deal to the people of the Sun Kingdom being seen as a symbol of peace and hope an example of what a solgalian should strive to be.
