Basic Information
Anatomy
Nemean Lions are huge felines covered in golden skin. The males have a golden mane around their neck while the females have a mane going down their back.
Biological Traits
Nemean lions have immense physical strength, durability, and speed being able to catch up to the fastests prey and withstand conventional weapons. These creatures are full of nemean steel the cooled down metal that makes up Leo's Sun making their teeth, claws, and the same as the powerful metal. They can claw and bite through stone and metal, their hide can withstand conventional weapons like arrows, swords, hammers, bullets ECT.
The only thing that can put down a nemean lion is weapons made of nemean steel or other rare powerful metals and alloys like adamantium, stellar steel, ect. While nemean lions where immune to physical damage they where weak to intense heat & cold, lightning, sonic vibrations, and corrosion. Male nemean lions have a sonic roar that can shake the earth, cause craters, push back those in range and shatter stone and metal.
Genetics and Reproduction
The head lion will mate with the females during the spring each having a litter of 6-7 cubs.
Growth Rate & Stages
Nemean Lion cubs become adolescent after 1 year & fully grown after 3 years.
Ecology and Habitats
Nemean Lions live primarily in the Nemean Hills in caves either in solitude or in large prides up to 40 lions. Nemean Lion prides are lead by a male lion who keeps the pride in order while the other lionesses hunt for the pride. The leader of the pride mates with the other lionesses and raises the cubs together until they become adolescent after that they leave the pride.
Nemean Lionesses hunt down various prey like deer & gazelle specifically bringing their kill back to their coven to be eaten by the coven they bring up to 50 kills a week to their coven leaving the picked clean bones in their coven. Nemean lionesses will go after the strongest member of their prey's group contrary to mundane predators who go after the weakest member. They fight each one by themselves using their strength and durability to put down their prey typically using their claws and bite to put down their prey. When the pride is challenged the male will fight the other and the two will engage in a fight to the death using their sonic howl to put down their opponent.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Nemean lions are strictly carnivorous eating deer and gazelle although they will eat other forms of prey and even people if they are hungry enough.

Civilization and Culture
History
Nemean lions where born after the age of dark as Leo's roars sent showers of solar metal to leonis the cooling of the metal sent the divine energy outwards mutating the surrounding lions making the hulking beasts that live in leonis. These animals prowled the continent of leonis hunting all manner of animals and people with nothing stopping them, this sparked the "Nemean Hunts" where the solgalians and other factions went on the hunt for the beasts to spare their land & take advantage of their unique properties. The leonian, vanir, asterians, & olympians where a part of these hunts gaining masses of nemean steel from the hunting.
It wasn't until a leonian druid named Rosaria was Helios persuaded to spare and protect the remaining nemean lions sheparding them into the nemean hills and through their kindness and magic kept in the hills in the middle of the forest. From then on the nemean lions became sacred beasts to the Leo Familia and mounts for the templars.
Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
Leonian Druids
Female druids who protect the nemean lions keeping them in the hills to remain alive and docile. The nemean lions love the druids acting as docile pets.Leonian Templars
Loyal knights of the Leo Familia who take nemean lions as mounts when they reach the rank of sun."The Nemean Lion is probably one of the most impressive animals I've seen on this earth a close second to the animals of Asteria. It's a good thing the druids keep them under control or they'd be a deadly enemy." - Circe
"When these lions were an issue Helios thought of wiping them out. So dumb that man I and my druids had to keep them docile in the hills I love my little cats." - Rosaria
"These cats are so valuable it makes them a target. Nemean Steel is something that is very powerful but it can be gained through poaching them but I have to defend them. It's the only way to make up for my idiocy." - Helios
