Ether

Ether is imbued with various elemental types fire, cold, electricity acid, light, healing, dark, death, ECT bearing different properties based on the specific state of matter.

• Crystal Ether: Crystal Ether is the most common type of ether made as ether rivers & geysers saturate in the earth mutating nearby crystals & sediment into crystallized ether. Ether while in this state is incredibly volatile as the slightest kinetic vibrations can trigger an explosive reaction this volatile nature is further increased when the ether is in a powdered state. Crystal ether is reactive to spirit once channeled, the ether could be used to produce elemental effects like fireballs, ice spikes, lightning bolts etc. Crystal Ether has other forms like fusion ether new types of ether made from the mixture of other ether, refined ether the result of bringing out other types of elements from an ether crystals, & primal ether natural ether from the elemental realms bearing the pinnacle of elemental power.
• Powdered Ether: Powdered Ether is made by mortals through a unique refinement process to grind the crystal into powder. Powdered Ether is even more volatile than crystal ether so much as a sneeze or a single step can trigger a detonation.
• Liquid Ether: Liquid Ether is the original state of ether a mixture of all elemental types and brimming with the heat of life. Ether in this state lost it's volatile nature but is not suitable for use needing to be refined or allowed to naturally give rise to crystal ether.

Ether is found in large veins and deposits deep underground in mines and quarries.

Ether is the white blood cells of the All-Mother once she bleed on the cosmos after the Primal Clash, ether soaked into the ground of every planet and gave rise to nature's grace.

Ether has existed ever since the Primal Clash between Gaia & her brother Khaois her blood spilt on the battlefield which was the cosmos saturating her blood into the planets giving rise to ether but most of it lay dormant waiting to be discovered by other forms of life born from her blood. Ether wasn't discovered on Divonis until a comet hit the planet the seismic waves triggered ether wells to sprout on photonis and sparking wonder into the seraphim although this ether was also being consumed by the arachnus on the planet as it was their only food source this sparked a long conflict with the arachnus and the seraphim. This conflict ended with the arachnus escaping the planet and dwelling on a new world rich with ether.   The ether was then hoarded by the seraphim and despite the pact between the seraphim and eidolons they where also barred from trading the substance as they believed that due to their natural affinity for channeling spirit and the reactive nature of ether that it was their right and responsibility to bear it. This didn't stop the eidolons who still got their hands on ether from their arachnus allies performing experiments with ether and using it to make various technologies. Ether was used in the Old War and many other conflicts before then being lost after the Great Calamity.   As mortals of the new cosmos came into their prime they discovered ether and began using it to their own benefit as well. Some humans used it for grotesque experimentation trying to replicate the majesty of the elemites through injecting ether into the bodies of humans but all that occurred was ether rot. Many elemites have gained a habit of injecting ether into their bodies however due to their innate affinity for elemental energy they were given a euphoric high as well as their elemental abilities being augmented although this is addictive and causes side-effects in their minds and bodies if they partake in ether splicing.   Eventually the Noblestell Family came to bring order to the ether market gaining backing from the zodiac empire and being the main monopoly on ether. Despite the order Noblestell brought no one could argue their practices & ethics were questionable as their miners would often contract ether rot from their work and die in ether detonations, their products were subpar but high in quantity, & they would often seize any ether assets on the planet. Noblestell remained in power for hundreds of thousands of years until Olgrimion came along causing a boycott of the Noblestell Family as the idea of a new benevolent monopoly on ether came along.   Despite the corporation's attempts at stomping out Olgrimion the Noble House fell and Olgrimion came into power using their new technology the Etherion to make higher quality ether products with no cost to anyone in mining due to mortals miners being replaced by mechs, and all of those who gained ether rot received free treatment to cure the condition. Ether has been one of the most valuable substances on Zodia and other worlds allied with it.

Ether was first discovered by the seraphim after the ether geyers erupted when solaris crashed onto photonis.

Ether is used for many things by mortals for ammunition, weapons, & genetic experimentation though this became less widespread as time went on.

Ether is used as an energy source typically electric & magnetic ether to power cities, combustion ether for vehicle propulsion, & healing ether for aiding the injured. Ether is also used to make various types of technology.

Ether is refined from the ore carefully mined with special equipment through the etherion ether is converted into various other types excluding liquid ether. The etherion turns ether into powdered ether, fusion ether, refined ether, and through planar cores primal ether.

Through ether many products were invented like ether grenades, ether weaved clothing & armor, ether weapons, ether missiles ect.

Ether mining will often emit elemental particles they rouge sparks very few can take advantage of these particles without harming themselves.

Ether despite it's origin is not to be introduced into the body as elemental particles once inhaled & when crystals go inside the body ether rot is sure to follow as the elemental particles intertwine with the victims cells replacing their cells with elemental crystal cells acting like a cancer.

There is always a high market for ether due to its power being sold in shops to huntsmen and huntresses around the world. Ether on Zodia was monopolized by the Noblestell Family but has been monopolized by the more benevolent corporation Olgrimion now distributed all over the world.

Ether is stored in glass vials which are carefully stored in cases, powdered, crystal, or liquid ether is stored in vials of various sizes.
