Charon
Charon is one of the two moons of Pluto and Vanir territory. This moon was once used to hold a garden when the eidolons controlled it but after the Great Calamity a Axion has remained crashed on the moon generating gravity storms and phantoms. The Axion left on the moon is used as a means of research for the vanir but heavily regulated.
Geography
Charon is a large moon measured to be 4,000km. It has numerous cracks in its surface brought about through the fluctuating gravity. To the north of Charon is the downed Axion in the Gyro Abyss.
Ecosystem
Charon is a moon incapable of supporting typical life & ecosystems. It's a cold & desolate moon so cold that those who remain for too long freeze to death because of its distance from the sun. Charon has numerous cracks and fissures in it making chasms and networks the only place where we're heat is due to the geothermal energy. The effects of the Axion makes phantoms occupy the moon and gravity increase and decrease as well as cause debris to fly around.
Ecosystem Cycles
During times of complete darkness the effects of the Axion are in full forces making a phenomenon called "Scream Storms"
Climate
Charon is incredibly cold due to being so far from the sun. It's so cold that not many can live long-term.
Natural Resources
Charon doesn't have much in the form of natural gems and minerals aside from "Dread Shards" chunks of earth irradiated by the psychic energy of the Axion.
History
Pre-Zodia
- Charon was originally a garden moon owned by the Argus Empire. Through their terraforming technology they could grow numerous plants for their civilization but after the Great Calamity it was lost and when an Axion crashed on its surface all the work done on the moon was destroyed with gravity. The moon slowly returned to its desolate state as the dark ship did its work.
Post-Zodia
- Once the churches were established on Zodia Hades was beckoned to this one moon. He with his undead ventured to the Umbral Abyss finding the Axion buried in the ground. The effects of the ship corrupted his men and nearly corrupted him but he pushed through and decided to have Charon be a place of research to understand the esoteric darkness that once reigned supreme. Select people resistant to the influence were the only ones allowed on Charon and their findings would be studied on Pluto.
Tourism
As heavily guarded vanir territory only those Hades deems safe are allowed to go to Charon; those people are given the rank of "Axiom".

Something I know now is how to shield my people from the baleful phantoms thanks to my time here.
