Boria
Boria also called the "Endless Seas' ' was a hypergiant gas giant home to trillions of life-forms of various races the most notable being the Swarm. This world was the focal world for the scheming of mephiles and zelgius during their war on Divonis. It was through this scheming that the swarm became the monsters they were through their pact with the Nianin. After the Swarm became incredibly powerful they took over the planet becoming the rulers of this world after killing all of the other races that treated them as if they were nothing. The skys and air of the planet are cluttered & congested with the gas of the planet, something that the denizens of Boria have grown accustomed to.
Geography
Boria is a supergiant gas planet 65,000ft. in radius bearing a gravitational force so strong that ships have a hard time escaping. Boria is orbited by 100 moons & has large frigid & toxic oceans brought through the planets absorbed into its gaseous mass. These planets 8 to be exact have been grounded down into the planet acting as continents it's oceans making up Boria's & becoming toxic to consume. The eight continents that were once planets Emend, Oqos, Aeclux, Gadas, Kluyon, Ocrira, & Yiqeth.
Ecosystem
Boria had many valleys, mountains, and hills but very little in vegetation having a small amount of forests in it being one of the few sources of vegetative sustenance. Emend the central and largest continent on Boria is mostly a cold stone valley surrounded by mountains at the edge of the oceans. Oqos to the east of Emend is a desert continent with many mountains at the edge of the oceans & around the Sandy plains. Aeclux to the south of Boria is a forest continent where the most plentiful food & water of Boria lies. Gadas to the west of Aeclux is a mountain continent with many groves hidden by the rocks. Kluyon to the east of Aeclux is an arctic tundra where the maganti dwelled honing their warrior spirit through combat in the cold. Ocrira to the west of Emend is a rocky highlands home to the ammonites and the swarm, the former hunting them for food. Yiqeth to the south of Emend is a rocky valley littered with hills and oasis.
Ecosystem Cycles
Boria's seasons are chaotic and deadly, the only respite being in the spring as plant life grows on every portion of the continents. The summer time causes the plants to wither and die from dehydration leaving only the planet's woodlands remaining acting as an oasis. During the fall the oceans begin to rise as 20 of the 100 moons align, even attracting any small & medium planets in 300,000 light years. The winter is the harshest season of Boria as the world becomes frozen over the rising oceans becoming polar ice caps.
Localized Phenomena
- Death Storms: Boria has many violent storms like the "Death Storms" bearing lightning strikes so strong that it vaporizes anyone struck by it, these storms last for weeks and seek out the largest prey out in the open.
- Gravity Wells: During the fall a gravity well effect would occur when 20 of the 100 moons align drawing in other celestial bodies like planets, moons, & asteroids in 300,000 light years.
- The Primal Wave: Every 350,000 years the 100 moons of boria would align their combined gravitational force causing a syzygy also called a Primal Wave boria's high tides becoming incredibly large crashing on the world and ending all life on the planet.
Fauna & Flora
Boria had very little in flora and fauna in the oasis where a plethora of fruits and other sustenance based plants but to all of the races of boria it wasn't enough. Semi-sentient clouds would stalk the valleys to atomize and consume anything and anyone they found. Small insects were a delicacy to the borians but drawn to the swarm.
Natural Resources
Despite the harsh environments of Boria it had a few good resources for the hundreds of species that lived there. The oceans being toxic had water assassins used to hunt for their work, tiny bright blue crystals called pips came from the ground that all borians used as currency, the food that came from the rare forests/oasis where very profitable to the borians. The water in the oasis where completely fine but limited being another profitable market to the borians. Xenocryst & animite grew in the crust of the planet xenocrysts used as a conduit for energy & animite to hold souls for trade.
History
Boria was once a mere gas giant orbited by it's 100 moons for thousands of years until it's gravity absorbed the other planets of it's solar system eventually turning them into continents & life began to form on it eventually hundreds of thousands of other races began to dwell on Boria with the swarm being at the bottom and hunted for food with very few allies & the ammonites at the top of the food chain of Boria controlling it with an iron fist making their system of power and commanding the limited resources of Boria. Thousands of years go by and an event called "The Great Crash" occurred as six unknown creatures were tossed into the oceans of the planet causing massive waves that engulfed Emend but nothing came out after the crash. It wasn't long until three swarm siblings dove down under the oceans to find a way to save their people from total annihilation, eventually finding the Nianin imprisoned in their planet's core after getting past the Galgalim.
The three siblings rose from the toxic ocean empowered through their bond to the dark empowered the rest of their kind and set out to claim boria for their own and dethrone the ammonites. After the Great Swarm War, a 20 year long war the Swarm became the rulers of boria killing any and all of the other races of the planet siphoning their souls to feed their larva. To this day Boria remains infested and corrupted although the swarm has long since been dead on that planet.
