Ardor (Are-Door)
Ardor also called "All-Mother's Grace" is a condition of divine origin but not a detrimental condition as any and all life that lives in the area willingly gains it. It's a beloved condition that allows those "afflicted" with immortality, eternal youth, enhanced healing and regeneration, ECT. All Gardenians are afflicted with Ardor through their exposure to remnant.
Causes
Ardor comes through extended exposure to remnant the gaseous & radiation substance that comes from pure & crystalized vigor. Through 6 months of extended exposure people, animals, and plants become afflicted with Ardor.
Symptoms
Ardor can show many effects of its existence from regressing in age assuming the afflicted is past their prime, stronger hunger, rapid cellular division, resilience to toxins and ailments, stronger souls and spirit reserves, growth spurts in quick succession, and increased libido.
Prognosis
Ardor unless removed will remain for eternity keeping the afflicted alive and in the prime of their own youth.
Sequela
Ardor does make the afflicted unable to handle proximity to voidstone causing headaches, nausea, and insomnia.
Prevention
Ardor can be ignored if someone already is afflicted with "Letum" a similar condition that comes from extended exposure to rancor as the remnant can't saturate in cells already saturated in rancor.
Epidemiology
Ardor comes from exposure to remnant, which typically comes from Heartstone large deposits of it. The Heartstone produces remnant in a large area typically in 10 miles of it allowing anything in range to be afflicted so long as it's alive.
History
Ardor was discovered sometime after the Undeadening when the Dead Wind Woods became the Living Wind Woods and the voidstone became Heartstone. Those of Sellfur's group showed strange symptoms when they remained there for a long time and deduced that the Heartstone can cause an augmentation in life making his plans to build an immortal utopia in the area.
Cultural Reception
People affected by Ardor are seen as physically perfect beings and those who take up the ways of a Huntsmen are revered for using their gifts in the service of the world.
"It seems like Gardenians who suffered immense injuries have healed but their bodies are stronger than they were before the battle. It seems like my son's heart has also grown a bit stronger, not strong enough to support his own life but it has shown some improvement. It seems like conditions aren't cured but shows some improvement. - Neve"
