Animite

Animite also called "Soul Stones" are the crystallized tears of Null-Father. These crystal tears are capable of absorbing and containing the souls of those who perish near them. Animite can come in many forms, some capable of holding one soul at a time, and others that can hold multiple souls at a time. These gems are frequently used by necromancers and other people to use the souls of others to their advantage.

Material Characteristics

Animite is a teal gemstone that glows blue when free of souls.

Physical & Chemical Properties

Animite has the uncanny ability to siphon souls into themselves upon the death of the target. There are three tiers of animite each with its own limitations pure animite crystals can take only one humanoid soul at a time with a range of 30ft., grand Animite crystals can contain one soul it can be a humanoid but it's meant to hold the souls of powerful entities like angels, demons, dragons, ect with a range of 60ft. void animite had no limit to how many souls it could hold with a range of 120ft.   Animite once full will change color depending on the creature's soul; humans and other humanoid races would make it gray, celestials make it white, demons make it black ect. Soul Stones are more than just a prison or battery through special points on the gem certain effects could occur to the soul inside like dormancy, agony, & forced extraction. Animite is difficult to break but not impossible if cracked part of the soul's essence seeps out and functions don't work, if the gem is shattered the soul escapes.
