The Workshop

A barn-turned-workshop located at the edge of Copper Ridge's Shantytown and the back-streets of the town proper.
This two-story building features a large winch attached just under the eaves, allowing large items to be hauled through the second-floor window as needed. Smokestacks have been built adjacent to the left side of the barn, allowing the forge inside to vent out. Large barn doors allow access from either end of the main floor, although typically, only the street-side doors are used, the opposite doors kept locked. Flanking the street-side doors are intricate sconces of gears and cogs, creating helixes which house blue magelights. In the lintel over the street-side barn doors, a large indigo-painted sign proclaims this building the "Wreck Wenches Workshop" in ornamented typography.
The main floor is the primary workshop, featuring a large forge and smithy dominating the left wall, a large drafting table surrounded by chairs at the far wall, and a small row of partially-open offices along the right wall. What grabs the eye, however, is the complex system of gears, pulleys, and winches mounted to the workshop ceiling, all powered by a complex machine of cogs located at the back left of the workshop. Gleaming brass and iron machinery catches the light of the forge, reflecting the warm glow across the rest of the workshop. Magelights placed strategically over the large drafting table at the back, and over the individual workstations to the left and right of the front doors provide a contrasting ice-blue light, flickering as the magelights gently bob in their levitation.
Once stalls for livestock, the rooms were converted into offices and meeting areas for the Wenches. From street-side working our way back, the stalls have been repurposed to suit the Wenches' needs. The first three stalls converted into a breakroom, with couches and plush chairs. The next two stalls have been refurbished into a small apprentice's study and schematic library. Lastly, the final stall was converted into a small consulting office. A spiral staircase just past the consulting office leads up to the second floor.
The second floor is mostly storage of fixtures, components, and large salvaged or scrapped materials hauled up via the exterior winch. A small curtained off area houses a few cots and wash-basins for Wenches who work long hours on their invention benders.
