Inspiration Points and Roleplay | House Rule
- Inspiration points (or IP) are given under the DM's judgement for roleplay moments in that a character has or performs in game.
- An IP can be used to give d20 roll ADVANTAGE.
- It must be declared BEFORE the roll is made.
- A player can only have ONE IP at a time.
- A player who has an IP is given a special coin in tabletop simulator, and put in their tokens area
- Also there is a spot in D&D Beyond where you can mark inspiration
- IP points can also be given to another character (that character also cannot have any IP themselves)
- In combat, a IP point can only be given to another character ON THEIR TURN, as a FREE action, as long as the receiving character can communicate with that player either by sight or sound.
