Racial Traits
Waterborne Warriors: Waveripper Orcs, thanks to helpful biological mutations gained from generations of coastal and seafaring life, gain a swim speed equal to their base land speed and take no penalties for fighting underwater. They are also immune to the effects of Hypothermia and Water Pressure Damage from being deep underwater. Waveripper Tendrils: Waveripper Orcs, bound to a unique water spirit, are able to manifest a set of watery tendrils to provide them with a variety of effects depending on the mode they are set in. The Tendrils can be activated or deactivated as a standard action that does not provoke Attacks of Opportunity, and their mode changed as a move action that also does not provoke.Pressurized Blood: Whenever a Waveripper Orc is struck for damage by piercing or slashing weapons, they can as a free action move either themselves or the attacker(If the attacker is within 30ft) up to a maximum distance equal to 5ft + 5ft per 4HD they possess. This movement stops automatically if it would move either into an occupied square, into an obstacle, or other dangerous hazard. This movement counts as a successful reposition maneuver. Inner Ocean: Whenever a Waveripper Orc is at 0HP or below and using the ferocity rule, they project a 15ft bubble of water that surrounds and follows them for as long as they remain in the above conditions - inside this bubble, creatures can still breathe air but must fight as if fighting underwater. Attacks coming from outside targeting a creature within this bubble are subject to the same 'fighting underwater' rules.
- Head: Gain Arcane Sight as a constant spell-like ability. You can as an immediate action turn a critical made against yourself into a normal hit, though doing so deactivates this ability for 1 minute.
- Arms: Your attacks gain the reach quality.
- Chest: You gain the use of the Deflect Arrows and Snatch Arrows feats as bonus feats. You may use the benefits of these feats even with no hands free, as water tendrils surrounding you operate in your place.
- Legs: You gain a climb speed equal to your base land speed and can spend an attack of opportunity as a free action to negate an attack of opportunity made againsat you for movement.
Alternate Racial Traits
Orcish Shipbuilder: Racial Ability Scores become (+2 Strength, +2 Dexterity, +2 Intelligence, -2 Wisdom, -2 Charisma). Modifies Racial Abilities scores. Having either been trained by one of the Orcish Masters or having dedicated years to the study of shipbuilding, the Orcish Shipbuilders singlehandedly sustain the orcish practice of raiding seafaring vessels and caravans, and it is with their intellect and skill alone that the Waveripper Armadas are able to remain afloat, ramshackle though they might be.
Iceveins: Gain Cold Resistance 10. You gain immunity to hypothermia and all negative effects of cold weather. Replaces Waterborne Warriors. Whether born in arctic climates or born with the frigid chill of the deep ocean, these Waveripper Orcs are frigid and carry a chill so intense that only the most intense cold can affect them.
Waveripper Jets: You gain the combat reflexes feat as a bonus feat, using Constitution as the Ability Score for it instead of Dexterity if doing so would be beneficial to you. The watery tendrils that sprout from your backs will use your weapons to make these attacks of opportunity automatically if you are incapacitated or unconscious(Functioning as a slam Attack that deals 2d6 plus your melee ability modifier damage at base if it cannot otherwise get your weapons or you use unarmed strikes). You can, as a move action that does not provoke, adjust these tendrils into "Maneuver Mode"(Or back again as the same action) - allowing them to make a Combat Maneuver of your choice(And using your CMB bonus) in place of the Attack of Opportunity you could normally take. The chosen maneuver does not itself provoke, and the tendrils can maintain grapples independently. Replaces Waveripper Tendrils. Their water spirit a tad different than usual, these Waveripper Orcs have learned to fight alongside their spirit in a way that others of their kind cannot normally dream of.
Permafrost Core: Whenever you are struck for damage by a slashing or piercing weapon, you can select a 5ft square within 30ft to coat in an icy sheet which functionings as a grease spell on the selected square - the DC of which is based off your Constitution Modifier(Or actual spellcasting modifier if you possess one). These squares last for 1 minute once created. Replaces Pressurized Blood. Their bodies giving off waves of freezing energy, these Waveripper Orcs are terrifying foes who weep permafrost onto the battlefield, freezing and covering the land in ice that is so cold it snap-freezes flesh and blood and bone alike.
Aqua Vitae: Whenever you are is at 0HP or below and using the ferocity rule, you inflict 1 point of stacking bleed damage on each of your turns on all creatures that begin their turn within 15ft of you. You gain one point of fast healing for each bleed damage that remains uncured in this 15ft area while you remain at 0HP or below. Replaces Inner Ocean. Though a bit of a common misconception, Waveripper Orcs do not in any way feed upon blood - instead, their biology is such that so long as they remain under duress, many Waveripper Orcs can draw upon the moisture inherent in blood spilled upon the battlefield to refuel and rejuvenate their anatomy.
Racial Feats
Deep Sea Mariner: Prerequisites: Waveripper Orc, Character level 7th Effects: Gain Immunity to Cold. Special: You have took the 'Iceveins' alternate racial trait, this immunity also applies to Uttercold. Their bodies becoming acclimated to the freezing cold waters of the ocean, these Orcs are capable of staying in cold environs for longer.
Salt in the Blood: Prerequisites: Waveripper Orc, Character level 9th Effects: Gain Control Water, Submerge Ship, and Salvage as at-will Supernatural Abilities. Though a rare talent, certain Waveripper Orcs find themselves infused with the blessing of the Sea in a powerful and magical way that allows them a myraid of powerful gifts others can only dream of.
